Do the devs hate their fans or something? Are they trying to kill their own game before it even comes out of early access?

Having to go through a hostile tunnel just to start a level is one of the worst design choices I've ever seen.

I don't know what they're trying to do but the mods can fix it for the most part. I mostly run as Europans because the other factions haven't been datamined and converted yet.

About 30% give or take. Supposedly the regions seen in the game aren't even the front lines so most of the bigger units aren't getting deployed yet. Still missing a shit load of guns and future tech like lasers and plasma because all of the stuff right now is just dollar store surplus garbage. The latest update gives you a portable mass driver that can kill the invincible units once you find the means to craft it.

I like the tunnels for "discovering" the places, I don't like the fact that the loot is better in them than the top side or the fact that you have to pay both water and bots to fast travel to the places you have already discovered.

It doesn't help that the contracts themselves barely cover the travel costs to go out and do them beyond the starting regions. There is no real point to farm Los Angeles or the underground catacombs for anything more than the novelty when you can pull several thousands from hoovering Tunnels A to C. By rights the system should be interconnected serving as a pseudo metro that runs all the way through. Allowing you to either spend time navigating them to go somewhere cheap or paying drones to skip ahead. By rights someone should be able to start in A and run all the way to D without ever going topside to jump routes.

I like the tunnels, it's cool to have a long journey to the other maps, makes it feel like exploring in Dark Souls. Shame the recent updates made the tunnels mostly empty (a bug I hope)
