They're moors. The historical analogues are all over the place anyway. Like khajiit and redguard both have arabic references but khajiit embody the trader mentality of arabs while redguard are more about the warrior culture of arabs. But it's also not as simple as that as they borrow from other elements too like Khajiit has chinese influences too with their whole moon monk shaolin stuff.
