Disgusting, I hate frontends that combine multiple emulators. When I want to play a GC game I launch Dolphin, when I want to play PS2 I launch PCSX2. I put ROMs/ISOs in the same directory as the program and will NEVER get MAME to work.
duno what is playnite. retroarch is fine on hacked consoles if there's no native support

The only good thing about Retroarch is that some 3rd worlder somehow used it as the basis for a stripped down version with limited cores and the video output option I actually want on Wii (the normal Retroarch Wii with all the generic options is fucking unusable)
I finally started using Playnite recently and it's a lot better than I expected.

Playnite is really hard to convince people to use despite how intuitive and simple it is to set up. I can't make sense of why that is, maybe it's just always going to be overlooked.

Having a lot of games on Steam plus a few on GOG/Epic/Battle.net/whatever plus an occasional emulated game does not mean you need something like Playnite. Having an actual lot of games (or planning to play i.e. using it as a backlog list) from every source does. Plus, unfortunately is still sucks as another anon said.
