Gonzalez wrote the main plot and much of the big hitting characters like House, Caeser, and Benny, but the writing for individual areas and companions was broken up between the team (which is why quality varies). Avellone wrote Cass and most of Dead Money and OWB. Gonzalez is still the person most responsible for NV being what it is.
