Why does every game so boring or just bad? I've been gaming since a wee lad, but now I just can't stand games anymore, even the old ones I thought we're good. Now, it's like everytime I play a game it's just woke or plain bad. I get annoyed that this game was considered good or recommended as this amazing game new or old. Where is the hype in this game? Why are people claiming this game is good, when it's clearly not? It's like every game I play I tear a part with justified criticism. I'm realizing games were fun because it was the friends you played with or the online communities that you experienced. Now, most of your friends are busy or gone, communities are soulless min/maxing douche bags, or the online is dead in general. Which has made me realize the majority if not all games are pretty always terrible. I've even pursued single player RPGs and tried all the so called masterpiece RPGs and their all hot garbage. Name it and I've tried it. Their bad. I've gotten like 20 minutes into these RPGs and just been hit with "What's the point...? Run around and collect fairy dust for a quest? Swing on a monster that has zero fighting skills? Oh our game raised the difficulty meter or you have to play through the same campaign on different difficulties"I guess it's time to move to a different form of entertainment or hobby. Gaming truly does feel like a waste of time.

Just sounds like you're jaded. Take a break. Pretend video games don't exist for 2 months. That includes not immersing yourself in everything vidya so you have to get off /v/. I'm realistic in my reviews of the games I play. I look at the good, but see more bad and either lazy or corrupt/greedy game design. I've tried to walk away from gaming many times in my life, only to come back to it. People often judge games on their own merits without taking into account that there is a central element that precedes them: the player themselves. You can try as many games as you want, but if you don't fix the root cause of the problem, you'll never rediscover your passion for video games.
I still enjoy video games they are relaxing and fun and you can chill and lose yourself in themsaying video games bad then proceeding to watch read or engage in any form of media is delusional
