Easier to just knock off Tolkien again

My man, even the 20th century hasn't been properly explored in gaming outside of WWII, so why would we get anything good from earlier eras? It's honestly a miracle we got anything at all given that Westerners are a pretty ahistorical people, so the best we ever got was Ubisoft flagrantly butchering every era of history they could get their hands on.

Isn't RDR 1800s enough?

Isn't AOE1 bronze age enough?

Devs have no faith in the ability of the masses to enjoy anything without modern conveniences.

I'm still waiting for my 1800s cryptid hunting game

What, Hunt isn't good enough for you?

There are plenty of games set in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Combine that with WW2 games we have the 40s and 40s represented. Some games with an Indiana Jones inspired theme or mafia inspired theme are set in the 20s. So that just leaves the 50s, 1910s, and 1900s. I think the 1900s need more attention, a Boxer rebellion game would be kino.
