It's an idea that wasn't done in a way that worked particularly well for the Metroid formula but it hasn't pissed me off.But I know how /v/ is. Havent played it yet but it does really piss me off that they locked the fucking music behind an amiibo or you have to beat the game first. Absolutely unacceptable. Hope they can just patch it in later.
OP is coping, I'm 5 hours into the game and the desert is such a sad, pathetic excuse of "terrain" and "level design". It's obviously an excuse to make the game more linear and everyone not in denial can see that.

I want to use the abilities I'm amassing outside of Sol Valley out in this space but there isn't many opportunities to. Make the hub on the level of the zones, make it worth spending time out here.There is something in this concept but it's not in the way a Metroid game operates. Beyond the desert the game lives up to the Metroid experience, the problem is the level design hasn't allowed for much platforming but everything I want from a Metroid game (earning new abilities and remembering where stuff I saw in other ares that needed these abilities to progress) is still there.
