If you're still there a minute later, he calls you again. Every time you enter the desert, he reminds you to look for mech parts and green crystals. the npc chatter is *mildly* overblown (mildly. it's still pretty bad). but people are using that to dismiss all the actual criticisms of the game, like the fact that exploration is non existent, the map is just corridors padded by a giant empty hub map which you have to backtrack through constantly to unlock upgrades (and it's not clever backtracking as is expected of a Metroidvania, it's just tedious), the story and worldbuilding are trash and feels like they put zero effort into it ("green energy", give me a break), the ost is lame, the upgrades are boring. it's just a mess. the npc chatter is just the shit cherry on a shit sundae that tips it over from being an aggressively mediocre game to being outright annoying to play.

Every zone is a fucking glorified corridor. You don't explore in this game at all. You don't get lost. You don't check your map. You never have to plan a route. Even when you only have one possible way to go, you'll get told where to go.
