>Far, far too many kidnappings/druggings/spiritual nonsense sequences. From a narrative standpoint, half of the game is Ajay on his back. Not even 5 has this problem because it's interesting like when you become a sleeper cell as brainwashing at least builds to something. Far Cry 4 just sucks really bad at story transitions.
>Arena mode feels abandoned. Why is there a map selection when you only get one map and you can't unlock anymore?
>Some of the choices are pointless, like Noore who jumps off anyway
>The obsession with the bow and arrow. Why? What is this? Tomb Raider? Bow and arrows aren't that interesting in an FPS game.
>The elephant is way too fucking OP. I've actually dropped off an elephant at an outpost and watched it go to work and then the game says I claimed it with "no alarms"
>FC3 has poker (wish it was in 5), FC5 has fishing, FC4 has... oh that's right, nothing.
>Sells story missions as DLC, whereas 5 only sells mini expansion packs separate from 5's story.
>The poor implementation of coop. I understand some missions wouldn't work for coop, but things like the arena and many basic bitch golden path missions like the poppy fields, you're telling me they wouldn't work in coop?
>Forgetting coop, the Guns for Hire feature sucks dick for the same reason, because you can't get a friendly AI to help you for most missions, and outside of missions, I have a hard time finding moments that the hireling would actually be a help.
>Terrible rewards. Collect all the masks? Unlimited guns for hire tokens, which at that point are completely useless as you've probably taken over all the outposts. Beating all of the Shangrila missions? Nothing.
>Weird bugs due to its outdated engine that Ubisoft hasn't gone back to fix
>HONEY BADGERS LOL XDDD

3 and 4 only exist to build up to the masterpieces that are FC5 and New Dawn. There's basically no reason to go back to these entries.

Man, you basically summed up my entire beef with FC4. The narrative pacing is absolute clownshoes-every time you're gaining momentum, boom, you're snatched or drugged again like you're starring in Far Cry: Weekend at Ajay's. And yeah, Noore's arc is a total wet fart. Ubisoft tried to act like it was player-driven when it was already locked in.

The arena is such a joke too. Big dramatic build-up and it’s just one dusty map and zero progression. At least give us some unlocks or modifiers or something. And lol the elephant thing is spot on-thing is practically a raid boss disguised as a friendly taxi.

Also 100% agree on the bow stuff. It’s like they wanted to force stealth-larping on everyone because “muh immersion.” I just want to explode things with C4 and a flamethrower, not roleplay Rambo in the Himalayas.

And don’t even get me started on Guns for Hire. They just wander around, get stuck on rocks, or die instantly because the AI is allergic to cover. Like why even bother using one when a honey badger could single-handedly outpost-clear with more efficiency?

FC5 may have overdone the “woke cult apocalypse” thing, but at least the systems actually work and co-op isn’t a complete afterthought.

It feels like they had this idea (which is interesting to be fair) to make the villain of the game not that bad and for a cause you either don't understand or don't even believe in, but then they forgot how to connect the dots from Point A to B.

Yuma trying to have sex with you comes completely out of nowhere. Prior to that, maybe they should've done a tragic romance thing between the two, so the scene where she ends up dead on the floor after the dream sequence actually has some meaning/impact to it.

OP has posted this thread enough times to mark himself as an actual Ubisoft shill and you should stop replying to his low effort shit

>Don't buy FC4
>Buy FC5 and ND

If that makes me a shill then I'm a shill

FC5 had by far the most boring setting in the franchise. That alone makes it inferior to every other game in the franchise.

FC4 > FC3 > The rest

Read the OP and defend some of its faults.

FC4 is the best in the series for a simple reason. I downloaded the pirated copy on release, and in the intro sequence I stuck around for the hidden ending by waiting when the villain had to leave to do something evil and it turned out he was a real bro and we went flying in his helicopter and hunted and did bro shit and the game ended.

Perfect clean break from the series since and poetic since every game has you doing war criminal shit using shaky pretexts at the behest of brownoids that are no less despicable than the villains of the game.

This is probably a marketing thread and I just want to say that I hope you kill yourself
