>>727761152I've only ever played the first game. I thought it was cool. It had a great atmosphere, a unique gameplay loop, and the plot felt Kafkaesque in a way that I found very appealing. It was also short, so it didn't overstay its welcome. I definitely see why it caught on as a phenomenon and it's impressive that such a massive franchise was spawned from such a simple game. My problem with it is that it's not very scary after you die a couple times and can start feeling frustrating. Also the way Freddy works could have been communicated better.
