when is PS4 getting EoL'd? I want private exploits to finally be public
PS4 has been discontinued for a while now and developer support is winding down in 2026 with some big games no longer being playable on it (Genshin) so there’s really no need to hold anything back at this point
>>727763485how does a phone game get dropped on ps4
>>727763485>PS4 has been discontinued for a while nowstill in production>so there’s really no need to hold anything back at this pointsome F2P life service products are still supported on PS4 (see Fortnite and Apex) hell, Marvel Rivals got a PS4 version in September
>>727763605modern >gaming phones are literally more powerful than PS4the damn system has only 8 gigs of shared memory
>>727763738Because I'm sure the game only supports the newest and most expensive meme phonesI'm sure the answer is more that PS4 players weren't spending enough money than any hardware excuse.
>>727763856>Because I'm sure the game only supports the newest and most expensive meme phonesquite the opposite actually: from what I heard some "top tier" mobile GPUs have driver issues that make the game unplayable kek might be Fortnite problem and not Genshin tho, not a /vmg/fag to know the details >I'm sure the answer is more that PS4 players weren't spending enough money than any hardware excuse.you underestimate gambling addicts' ability to manage their money (they'd rather waste it on gacha than try to save some cash for new hardware)
>>727764051>abilityinabilityI'm retarded
>>727763651Definitely depends on your region, I know Covid pushed everything back and extended timelines due to scarcity of the ps5 for 2-3 years but I can say you can’t find new on the shelf ps4 units in the north east. They are all refurbs and pre owned at Best Buy, Amazon, Target and GameStop.
>>727764352>picSony has been trying to subsidize Japanese demand for PS5s so desperately and yet no one fucking buys them kek
>>727763137Maybe when it stops being popular to play on. Not everyone wants to upgrade to a shitty current gen system.
>>727764453They don’t play games on TV’s so they very much need a traditional handheld.
>>727763137>when is PS4 getting EoL'd?Maybe in a decade from now. A lot of people still play on PS4, and killing support for that means losing money from people with PS+ subs on PS4. PSN's MAU's range from 120-125 million, and PS5 only sold 80 million so far. Killing PS4 means killing PSN.
>>727763651This is less about the need to cut support more a desire to so they can just switch them over from ps4 to working on the next gen version.

>>727763137Sony printed Shakedown Hawaii in 2022 for PS3, So maybe like 2040
>>727766643iirc they had a build of the game ready in 2020 when sony closed new build submissions through their dev program
>>727764685PS3 still has functional PSN"EOL" means no new FWs and no consoles in stores
