I never had a Nintendo console in my life but I saw all the acclaim and the games themselves looked like a lot of fun so I put them on my backlog with high priorityA couple years ago I started going through them and oh boy, barring Pikmin, the 2D DK games, and Super Metroid, all of their games feel like Bluey to me, intentionally incredibly basic stuff for actual toddlers, that seem to get taken very seriously by adults for some reason
N64, NGC, Wii and Wii U were trash, tho. Their portables are consistently good.
