Altered Beast is one of those games that, in my opinion, wasn't very good. Not even SEGA fans would put Altered Beast in their list of "most wanted revivals".Here's the thing, the original game's alright. It's fine. I played it, it was fun for a bit, and that's good enough. The game had its period in gaming history, but it belongs in the past. Unless SEGA can do something amazing and/or outrageous with the concept that warrants a new game.

You know what SEGA should do? Make a game that's nothing like Altered Beast. A game set in modern times, with nothing that hints at its nature. Make it a shooter, or a detective game, or whatever; have it be horror, or political intrigue, etc etc. Maybe have it be set in modern-day Greece if you want to hint at its true nature. Maybe let RGG make it like what >>727769830 suggests. Whatever. Then, midway through the game, pull a twist and reveal the beasts. Title drop.This way, you can trick people into playing Altered Beast in 2025.
