My only gripe with 11 is that windows doesn't seem to be able to separate my quad port rtl8111h m.2 nics, despite linux being able to; they're all on their own iommu group, but windows complains about about traffic redirection. I don't think its the pci switch - my x540s are quad ports too (two x540-at2s joined with a pex 8724 chip) and dda can separate them fine.

Fair point, but to be honest, it's a crapshoot if an older PC game works on modern Windows as well. A lot of PC games were coded in a way that didn't take into account future changes to Windows or were just hacky as shit.

Wrong. On windows if game causes system to run out of memory Windows will just silently kill it. On Linux kernel kernel will also kill it as well, and if systemd-oomd is enabled you'll also get fancy desktop notification about killed proccess.

They didn't stop all the Russians to contribute to kernel you retard. They just stop merging device and platform drivers for their electronics that is primarily used in military and public sector. Ordinary Russians can still send their contributions to other drivers/subsystems.

>The real problem with gaming on Linux are classic PC games.
Why does this constantly get posted by people who both don't play "classic" games or have ever tried to do so on linux?
Windows 11 is the one actively shitting on compatability, even 10 had issues with certain DX8 games but was still miles ahead of 11.

Admittedly, you can't beat Win7 as far as compatability goes, but linux being 2nd place is pretty good.
