>playing any kind of multiplayer game >zero pressure, proper leisure time >playing multiplayer RTS>real fucking shit, stressed of the fear of not being able to winwhy is that?
>>727786349RTS games have a lot more that the player needs to do compared to most genres. In an FPS you can just run to the nearest enemy and start shooting. If you die, you usually just respawn for free and it's not a big deal.In an RTS game you have a lot of different things that you need to be doing constantly, managing resource collection, base construction, unit production, unit movement, and unit micro. Just getting to the point where you can start fighting requires a lot of plate spinning, and then if you lose the fight you have to deal with trying to replace the units and structures that you lost.
>playing tf2>bad at every class>least shit at playing spy>feel pressured to play spy most matches>constantly stressed out by the thought of getting caught by the enemy team>generally hate stealth mechanics in games for this reasonwhy did god make me an innately sneaky bastard but also give me crippling anxiety? vid unrelated.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_122FruT-o
>>727788213This. In an RTS, every second needs to be maximized, or a noose is tightening around your neck. This can be true of fighters, but since matches aren't 15-25 minutes, nor is it as complicated, it's not nearly as stressful. You can fuck off for a full minute in a shooter, and lose absolutely nothing.
