There has been an edit war on the wikipage for a decade already with some idiots claiming Samus is trans based on an old interview translation regarding the Chozo DNA. It's funny that those retards always bitched women in video games are only bimbos with Lara Croft as example but when people then named other characters like Samus they didn't know who they were or in this case immediately want them to be trans.

>>727788442Explanation to the joke:For much of Metroid's development, Samus was a male android (hence the title, Metro Android) but towards the end of development someone on staff saw Alien and decided to make Samus a woman as a sort of homage to the film. That's why both Alien and Metroid both end with the protagonist taking off their clothes and standing around in their underwear. So from a meta perspective Samus is a 'newhalf' because she started out as a man, but became a woman later on in development, even though from an in-universe perspective, Samus was always a female.
