Played that one, here's my review
>Dungeon crawling beat em up, with some ranged attacks. Stats go up but there’s barely any «RPG» in this, just a lot of tedious crawling across samey looking corridors, while beating mobs up. Very basic and kind of addictive but the camera controls are ass (there are none, you can only recenter or zoom out enough that it almost feels like isometric 2D, that actually kinda works) and the art direction is ugly, it feels cheap in general.

Play the arcade version
>>727791564
Here's my review of that
>Tomb Raider clone, bizarrely. Copies the entire control scheme, you even have to reach out after a jump to grab onto a ledge. The shooting is auto-aimed. Makes no sense, the game seems to be mostly about shooting, but they copied the TR control scheme for some reason. The levels are big, mazey and ugly looking which only makes me want to play this less. It’s not THAT bad though, it is pretty much just a below average TR game.

PSX was the development name for the PlayStation, but a lot of publications at the time kept using it after the release. Sony have kind of retconned it with a PlayStation revision named PSone and a PS2/DVR hybrid named the PSX.

Use a dualshock. Has full camera control on the right stick.

The shooting is far less autoaimed than TR, the tracking is around the center of the screen, you need to actually be facing the enemy to target them, and you also have precision shooting (I think it was on R1 but it's been decades since I played it). The platforming is much snappier and more responsive than TR, with faster animations and far less input delay. Basically it's TR turned into a shooter.

It's not nice recommending the BoF series, eventually one remembers how it all ended and gets depressed.

I tried replaying the Soul Reaver remaster and man that game does not hold up.
It's crazy how much better Tomb Raider is than Soul Reaver.

What's better about it? Looks about the same.
