A mario game could be a 5/10 in every category except 9/10 gameplay, 0/10 story (aka the nsmb series) and outsell every game ever. Even sonic can't compete againt BPC (bIg plumber cock)

I haven't started 2 yet but I'm playing 1 rn and its the greatest platformer I've ever played. I think I'm around 40% through.
I feel like I'm playing an interactive pixar/tim burton movie which is a feeling no other game has given me. My only complaints are the gameplay can be janky and I haven't come across any 10/10 songs (YET)

Gonna start 2 when I beat 1.

Just a heads up, there's actually a VR game in between 1 and 2. 2 recaps but if you don't want to miss content you'd probably be best playing it or watching this once you finish 1, it's only an hour long
