Basically yeah, it's not an RPG but it's an alright boomer shooter with a solid story and characters. Very little bugs remain, it's pretty stable, runs and looks shockingly well, and has some modding potential. The DLC is also solid.

The problem is that it can sometimes get annoying, so you're trying to adjust the settings to find a balance between having to go sleep all the time or having the system be so casual that it doesn't matter. Honestly I'd just say stick to the defaults for everything except vehicle calling. Calling your vehicle is buggy sometimes and you'll run out of tokens. I wouldn't disable the limit, but I would up it to at least 3 or 4 tokens in a 24 hour period. Also if you install this, you'll want to install the mods that make all the street vendors sell stuff. It's hard to find non-slop food in game.

You don't get any significant branching if you pick Nomad either. There's just one railroaded story and it doesn't care about what character you have, what the character's past and connections are supposed to be or what the character is supposed to be capable of. The world is rather dead and flat, your character has no real place in it, you can work for every gang and every faction in the game, do all their quests and it changes nothing even if these factions are supposedly not friendly to each other.Getting to choose whether you crawl through a vent or go in through the front door isn't a feature that makes a game an RPG.

>>727799852The game is fully physical on the cartridge, not a game key card. So that's already a huge boon, being the best physical you can own of Cyberpunk. The Switch 2 version has multiple control methods, not just dual analog, but also gyro, and motion controls. You can swing the joycons to attack, to lob grenades, to heal, ect. You can also plug a mouse and keyboard into the dock and the game switches to PC controls. Finally you can of course use joycon mouse, just lay the controller flat on a table and it just works. It has two graphics options, performance mode and quality mode. The game looks really good no matter which one you choose, and performance mode allows 40fps which is frame paced correctly to the 120hz screen. Switch 2 has 3D audio, it's actually so good it's like having surround sound, and it's a handheld which is wild. It's definitely a must have for the system.
