I can't tell you how much I fucking hate this game's gameplay loop. Open world and fetch quest waterboarding just make it among the worst JRPGs I've ever played. The way you unlock a lot of the side quests is also pure cancer. Not to mention the generic shonen revenge plot.
I have NO idea how this game and its series got to become so popular.

I dropped Silksong after two hours, but later got interested in what I missed out on and tried to watch a 100% playthrough on YouTube.
I dropped that too, because it turned out the game gets exponentially worse as it goes, and I was getting second-hand frustration from how shit it felt to play without even playing it.
The guy I was watching was first-trying every boss and had a guide open that told him exactly where every pick-up and secret was, and the game still was just an endless tedium of running in circles to collect shit and grinding fetch quests.

Anyway, the point is, seeing more of it made me realize why normalfags like Silksong, not despite, but BECAUSE of how awful it is.
Silskong isn't a metroidvania or a soulslike. It's a fucking Ubisoft radio tower slop game. It's filled with pointless shit that makes NPCs believe it's full of content while making actual people die of boredom.
But it's also indie slop, so instead of fitting in by hating on it like with the actual Ubisoft games, normalfags are fitting in by glazing it.
