Genuine question. What's going to happen to the state of competitive multiplayer games once ai takes off?Imagine having an advanced software that can mimic perfectly the performance of any player, at any elo. Want to simulate a diamond player in csgo or dota? The ai will incorporate the perfect human flaws, mistakes, and reaction times of those players at said elo, to the point its indecernable from a real player. What's going to be the solution?Requiring a camera to be constantly recording player mouse and keyboard movement at all times? An authentication chip on your hand while you play recorded? As of now you can hack in pretty much any game aside from the big games like league, valorant and dota with relative ease with a quick Google search on hacks, but this shit is going to be 1000000x more advanced in like 5 to 10 years. Will it go back to lans or what?
>>727797403Fps games are already filled with cheaters so this changes nothing really.I remember grabbing hunt showdown cheats from a website called chods cheatsShit was like 30 a month or something but well worth it.I was in high 5 to 6 star elo and players would just camp and hold an ultra angle the whole match.I particular remember an instance were I loaded in solo against trios with esp enabled, they had just gotten the clue to a compound and when they were 30 Meters away from said clue, I snapped a twig, they stopped and held an angle in my direction for 15 minutes straight, the boss had started banishing, people got the tokens and extracted and I was just crouched afk, they were still holding an angle not moving. If the playerbase is disgusting and sweaty enough it warrants hacks in my book
I'm just gonna have an AI vtuber stream for me and make me money. Just have to iron out the antisemitism and african american racism.
>>727797403Considering there has been ZERO advancement in video Game AI by LLM companies. There won't be any real change anytime soon. They're just hyping up investors for trivial shit nobody cares about. Similar to what VR did a couple years back.
Multiplayer is fucking dead thanks to faggot mods censoring the fuck out of players and having spyware.Never mind the looming threat of digital ID killing any form of anonymity and tying everything you do to your real nameLike imagine having the cops at your door because you called your teammate a nigger faggot
>>727797403why would I even want to play MP when AI can perfectly replicate players? I'll just play with AI opponents then, and I'll be allowed to banter again because no feelings get hurt
>>727797403more newbs for me to kill
>>727797760>If the playerbase is disgusting and sweaty enough it warrants hacks in my bookWhat does that even mean? If people are better at the game than you, it warrants cheating?
>>727797403It just means the death of matchmaking and stat tracking. Custom servers with no stakes will be the norm again.
Isn't that how tarkov is rn with sains ai?
>>727797403We'll go back to the LAN days, gaming cafes will rise again
>>727797403> The ai will incorporate the perfect human flaws, mistakes, and reaction times you have quasi-religious beliefs about what AI is and could possibly be. we've had AI that can choose to fuck up for 30 years now, even an extremely advanced ai is still going to be following some internal logic on when it's going to miss so it will never truly recreate the human factor
>>727797760This sound autistic as fuck from the other players
>>727797403Current bots can already do this. Aimbots can instantly target a character's head and instantly attack them when it view. The problem isn't with bots having super-accuracy to the most optimal skillchain loadout, it's that it is very obvious when bots are doing this and so it becomes easy to ban people using such methods. AI isn't going to change this at all, since if it has access to the game code then it's going to present the same problem as modern bots (arguably more, since the AI can't understand when it's acting too "bot-like") and if it doesn't, then we have Claude spending a month trying to find the Lift Key.
