Why do boomers worship this game?
>>727799748they do?
>>727799748Can't speak for boomers. But I'm a xennial, and I liked it when it was released because it had maps that didn't require a loading screen, and I hadn't seen that before, and the servers were pretty filled with people to play with. There was also decent variety of builds, especially if you cooperated with someone else and could fill different niches. It can't compare to modern games of course.
>>727799748I am zillenial, not a boomer. I don't worship it. I enjoyed it as a kid/teen, that's about it.Never played many other diablo likes desu. So this was my diablo during teen years.
>>727799748It has the greatest videogame film adaptation of all time
THE BEATDOWNNEVER STOPS
>>727801204UWEReally lose "adaption"
never played dungeon siegeI'm a 37yo boomer who loves these kind of gameshow's the gameplay?
>>727801894It's ok, rathe simplistic really, especially if you like me where you have one mage for healing and resurrection spells, then rest of the party as archers and and or maybe two guys as melee fighters. You just end up chugging a lot of potions. You basically have melee fighters (two handers slower, but whatever), ranged fighters (bows, crossbows and such) and mages (two schools of magic, but it's mostly just either attack or utility spells).
>>727801894It's good. You can have a party of up to 8 and even the option of packmules for all your loot. Jeremy Soule did the soundtrack. Combat is pretty satisfying and you really gotta keep your gear up to snuff as you traverse into new areas.
>>727801894Opposite to what you'll usually hear, you can totally go solo in this game since the game has a use to learn leveling system if you pool the entire game's experience to a single character they can become ridiculously strong.Even on hard difficulty I managed to solo the whole game with mostly just melee and some combat magic as support.
>>727801894https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1148174213Also, just so you know, old multiplayer map is a rehash of a campaign map, but still different enough that you can squeeze another run from it.
>>727799748The single player campaign is pretty generic. Most people don't realize that the pure kino is the multiplayer map. There is a massive desert where finding the dungeon is actually a challenge. And there is a dark dungeon with no real map, you have to memorize the maze. I will never forget the experience when we started exploring the maze with my friend at one night, and we stayed up until like 4 AM because we kept getting lost but didn't want to give up.
>>727799748Cause it's good, simple as.
>>727803741>multiplayer mapNot an issue anymore, it's fully playable in singleplayer with npc party members.
>>727804023My point was that most people play the single player campaign and then forget about the game without realizing that there is a massive and unique multiplayer map that they probably never try, and it's the opposite of the railroaded single player map.
>>727804023Mod?
