The best video game of all time... if you spend $500
No I don't think I will.
can't decide between stellaris or rimworld being the most boring, imagine the "gameplay'' games. At least ck2 and factorio had some interesting mechanics
it used to be pretty good but 1,500 bloat dlcs and redesign patches have made it a completely schizophrenic mess that's barely recognizable from its original form
>>739352114you need to be able to see the red apple
>>739352314>you need to imagine the roles while playing houseLMFAO
>>739350885even if you get all the DLC, some of the DLC is just shit. like cosmic storms, atrocious. and besides that the game's combat is pretty fuckin stupid and lame. if only it was as good as star sector's. its an O.K 4x game, i guess. maybe. AIs are a bunch of war hungry faggots for no reason half the time though.
>>739350885Not much of a game really. reddit space event simulator
>paying for pdx dlcimagine bowing to jews
>play for a couple of hours>20 fpsI should be able to sue these guys for a refund due to how broken this shit is
>>739354607Post specs, I am playing at 100 fps with a 1080.
>>739350885>>739351020There was a time I did this with a lot of excitement and to play with mods, then this game became ultra boring with updates one day so I quitted for good.
>>739350885New DLC is going to be awesome>>739354521>>739352114>niggas that cant read
>>739352114yeah i got into Stellaris around xmas time and as much as I've enjoyed it since then, like 90% of the fun of the game is the initial exploring/expansion part. Once the borders are all set its basically "afk simulator".
>>739353248>its an O.K 4x game, i guess. maybe.This. Unfortunately as flawed as it is, its the only real sequel to Stars! and Aurora4x is just way too autistic.
>nomads Don't care about that.>religion systenI care about that.
Kerbal is the only good space game.
>>739358218>paradox goyDLC slop eater
>>739350885>Imagine AoE2 but after going through tons of garbage bloatwares and dlcs the game performance had gotten so bad they did a 0 IQ move tha lowers the population cap from 200 to 40 hoping that it will fixes the performanceAnd that, ladies and gentleman, is what stellaris is at right now
>>739350885>The best video game of all timeFar from it It's fun But it's not the best
>>739351020I'm too afraid of losing my steam account to ever use this.
>>739352114Personally I create custom empires and then roleplay around this concept I wish the fucking game would support static maps so I could fucking make my own scenarios The devs are genuinely retarded subhumans for never allowing This single change could make the game 10x times better but the Swedes are a special kind of subhumans
>>739360798lmfao
>>739350885>openly uses AI assets nowYou might think it supposed to make production cheaper, but shit cost as much as before
>>739358628>Aurora4xIt's too fucking bloated Only retards and massive autistos like to micromanage the hours and minutes when you take your shit and how many wipes to optimally clean your ass hole A true grand strategy game should never ever have any micro You are a fucking ruler not some bitch bureaucrat faggot You give orders and give broad goals. Whenever your subordinates will follow them perfectly it's another question That's what makes great a grand strategy game but these subhuman devs cannot think in systems because their are cognitively retarded autistic morons that focus on micromanaging slopThank god for AI and especially local AI I will build my own grand strategy game that will mog all these shit out by thousands of times in depth and simulation
>>739350885bloatshit
>>739358583went through this exact same experience with civ 6
>>739351020Does this shit work on Linux?
>>739360835That was my favorite part of the game, too. Some of my favorite roleplays>lions modeled after the Roman empire. Had warrior culture or whatever the civic was to turn theaters into gladiator arenas. Also went psychic, so they were having psychic mind battles too>lithoids that look like explosions. Took the crash landing colonization civic. They were a megacorp and my headcanon was that their main export were movies, they were basically a giant production company and would all kinds of kinos>lithoid necrophages that grew population by "elevating" lesser races via growing crystals out of item>voidborn ayys, the start in a 3 star system and a nebula. Force the worm event to trigger so the main system gets 3 black holes and fills up with tomb worlds. Then do the become the crisis and blow up every starNever actually completed this as they changed being able to force trigger the event and I was commited to doing the whole thing modless, thus, I never got a good spawn where I had the event trigger
>>739360798The only way to ever really detect this is checking inconsistencies between an account's purchased DLC and, say, achievements that can ONLY obtained with said DLC (which most games don't bother with anyways because it's evil). Nobody cares what you do in your single player game. Just don't be a retard.
>>739360798just download the GoG version every other year from a good source. It's what I did ... and honestly the game just gets worse with every year. The constant text pop ups of trivial shit nobody cares about is a complete immersion killer.
>>739361267>Pop ups The subhuman Dev's favourite tool
>>739361101Civ6's problem is bloat. It just has like 400 different systems, currencies and shit to keep track of that dont synergize together whatsoever and its easier to just delete someone with Man-At-Arms spam than it is to actually interact with any of the rest of the game.
How do I git gud anons?I have like 200 hours but I just feel like its a toss-up whether my fleets win or not, even if I outnumber the enemy a good amount. Tech tree as well I just kind of grab whatever's got the lowest timer unless its something with research or an unlock that makes my ships better.
>>739361462Haven't played in a while but basically the best stats are to have are high evasion and long distance. Thus, doomstacking corvettes was the best option, atleast it was when I played it. Carriers with hanger bays are also good because they have the longest distance. Basically if you can hit enemy ships without getting hit yourself (distancr and evasion) you're going to win even if you're at a numbers disadvantage provided it's not too small. I think no retreat was also overpowered as fuck, but quite dangerous if you run into a big threat
>>739350885>no dlcCoe6 whenDom7 when
>>739362065I see people are not very happy with how dom6 turned out to be
>>739361710Makes sense, thanks
>>739361462>Understand how the tech tree/prerequisites work which is all hidden information (for example you need X techs completed in tier 3 before tier 4 techs will start to roll, you can't roll Hyper Relays until you've researched Rare Crystal Mining, you have 2x the chance to roll Robot Workers if your empire is Materialist and can't roll it at all if you're Spiritualist, etc) and shoot for a specific goal e.g. early ascension to leverage your economy buffs and snowball, early Cruisers to take out a neighbouring Fanatic Purifier empire before they become a problem, etc)>Understand how to build your planets (generally you want to specialise them into one specific thing to take advantage of percentage buffs and not overcrowd them or it cripples organic pop growth) and manage your empire size>Understand that there are only two resources that matter, alloys and tech. Everything else only serves to generate them and anything that gets you more alloys or tech should be prioritisedAs for ship design here's a guide, it's outdated but it should give you an idea of what things you should be considering when designing them. But if you want a one-size-fits-all hammer, spam strike craft which will generally work against everything even if it's not as efficient as building specialised fleets.https://fantasywarden.com/games/stellaris-ship-design-guide-2023-3-6-update
>>739361265How do I disable achievements in a steam game ?
>>739364168Just don't play on ironman mode
>>739364168install literally any mod
>>739350885The game has been good at multiple points through its life, but right now is not one of them. The latest update nerfed job outputs so much that the economy is basically non function for normal builds, right now really the only way to play the game is using some variation of a broken meta build. The worst part is just how retardedly low the base output of specialist jobs are now. Research, alloy, and consumer good jobs woud genuinely not be worth building if they weren't the only reliable way to produce their outputs at scale for most builds. Researchers particularly are unimaginably dogshit.Rebalancing isn't entirely unjustified, the game has had OP build problems for a while, but for some fucking reason instead of finding ways to just nerf particularly egregious offenders they've repeatedly nerfed baseline stats, apparently completely oblvious to the fact that doing this hurts the average build way more than it hurts builds already out on the extreme exploiting some bullshit to be OP.
>>739350885Age of Wonders 4 does the Stellaris gimmick better than Stellaris does. I’m on my phone so I don’t have a suitable reaction image but imagine I posted a truthnuke png.
>>739368913>I am a child please disregard my postWill do
>>739369685>>I am a child please disregard my post>Will doOk now imagine i posted a basedjak
>>739350885Bump
>>739352114Stellaris is supposed to be mainly MP game. SP is very obviously an afterthought.
>>739372473such a dogshit decision. Swedecucks should be castrated and fed to the rapefugees.
