Why does putting a VR headset on for a horror game make the game scary?
>>
>>739367425
it doesn't
>>
>>739367425
because its a 360 degree view in 3D that tricks your brain into thinking you're in real danger.
horror games in VR are the TITS
>>
There's an element of depth which obviously works but if you don't have motion sickness it might not even work that well on you
>>
>>739367629
I want to play the first-person Resident Evil games in VR, it seems like they would be fun
>>
>>739367723
you wont regret it. RE7 is pant shittingly good.
even games that need VR mods like Silent Hill 2 are much better
>>
>>739367723
They are and if you're a wuss like me you'll get spooked hard.
>>
I think the aspect of constantly having look behind yourself makes its stressful

I played Fisherman's Tale 2 (a puzzle game with dollhouse graphics) and I started to feel heat and I began to sweat when I spent a while in an engine room of a ship trying to solve a puzzle. VR is amazing.
>>
The jump scares are 1000000x more intense when it feels like the monster is inches away from you. I have to play sitting down otherwise I instinctively jump backwards and trip over something.
>>
>>739367425
Combination of oh-shit-monsters-in-my-peripheral-vision, and the incredible power of head-tracked HRTF making it sound like things are in the room with you. The power of the VR soundscape is so underrated.
>>
>>739367425
Because anyone could be eyeing your sexy hairy body and you never know when they're going to go for it
>>
>>739369771
Jump scares and liminal spaces are not horror you slop gobbling zoomer
>>
>>739370157
I'm answering OP's question you drooling retard. Not my fault if your stupid brain reads more into it than that.
>>
I have arachnophobia so Skyrim VR becomes a horror game with those massive spiders. holy fuck no
>>
>>739367425
I never get scared playing any horror games
Guess I'm just a gigachad
>>
>>739369573
Is it true the granddaughter is a nigger?
After watching the trailer hearing the granddaughter talk my nigger sense kept going off and so I always skip it when its on sale
I will not support any modern game that includes a nigger with my money
>>
>>739373307
Yes there are niggers. Haven't finished the game yet so I can't recommend it. Got it from Horizon+
>>

i was playing few months back exploring solitude swamps I have heavy vegetation mods so I had to stick to the water to even make it through. Then it started to storm visibility dropped with the fog to around 15 feet then the bush sounds started getting hit and poisoner only able to see the spiders pop out for a split second and promptly skitter away back into the heavy foliage. I had to reload my save I couldn't take it.
>>
it doesnt.
>>
Why does putting a VR headset on for a minigolf game make the game more fun?
You're using more of your brain to send and receive neurological signals, therefore causing you to feel more engaged.
Boo

Try putting on a VR headset for a VRChat
>>
>>739375028
I didn't give a shit about minigolf or golfing before getting VR and now I'm at 500hrs played in both
>>
where the FUCK is my frame gayben
>>
Is a Quest 3 (the good model) worth it for use on a PC? I don't know if I should wait for the Frame or even if the games are gonna' be good. I see a lot of VR games and the graphics are ass.
>>
>>739377475
quest 3 is still a brick hanging on your face, if you're not extremely pressed wait for frame, it should come out before the end of June
if you want to try vr first get a used quest 2 and see
>>
>>739367723
Silent Hill 1 is much scarier than RE1 as someone that started playing both this month, only in the dark with over ear headphones of course.
Condemned is much scarier than either though
>>
>>739367425
Because developers have gaslit themselves into thinking that you can make a horror game with a third person player-controlled camera, but you can't.
Horror is all about putting the player in the right mindset, and there is nothing horrifying about constantly adjusting the camera to gain local omniscience.
Sound is also often neglected in horror games and at the very least a VR headset sort of has to respect that your ears are on your head.

I can't get scared when I know the devs want me to feel like that. The Jeff section in Half-Life alyx was more annoying than scary, for instance.

And then in other games like pic related that made me feel really unsetled while playing.
>>
I wish there were good VR sets which didn't cost $2000
>>
>>739367425
really want to try the l4dvr mod someday soon. Too many games feel sluggish when specifically made for vr. Motion sickness babbies need to just figure it out
>>
>>739379582
You gave me a great idea, check to see if I can play deadisland 2 in vr and I can the injector works with motion controls.

You literal faggots already have 3 generals. Keep your shit out of /v/
>>
>>739377673
Yeeeeah. Maybe I'll wait. But then gotta' try to beat scalpers and shit.
>>
>>739381021
