Whole zone really took the wind out of my sail I'll be honest, felt like unnecessary padding that only really accomplished making the combat start to feel a bit repetitive much earlier in the game than it should. They should've staggered the enemy encounters better rather than placing them literally everywhere.

I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I reached the 'le resistance' city and ultimately, I found the game boring. The game won't let me 'character action game' at enemies and I feel forced to do measly two, three hits, parry, repeat, crit the stunned thing, proceed to the next enemy. I don't feel like exploring the skill trees because there's nothing that looks like IT would change that pattern.I tried setting the difficulty to hard but It just turns the enemies into damage sponges.Does It ever get better

The demo gives you a pretty good idea of the combat system, so it shouldn't have been much of a surprise. But I'm not too sure what the sequel will be able to do to refine and expand upon it. Outside of adding more weapons/playstyles, I'm not sure what else they could to build upon the combat system. By the end of the game, it felt pretty like it had been thoroughly explored. But adding 2 or 3 new weapons/playstyles, assuming each one was as deep as the sword was in SB1, would add quite a bit of variety and replayability. The parry/dodge/riposte mechanic would need to be expanded somehow. They did as much as they could probably do with it given the boss types the game threw at you. You're only gonna create so many different types of "swing" attacks to throw at a player before it becomes boring.

You get your path blocked too often, and there is very few places so far in LOTF that are blocked while in umbral. Which wouldn't really matter considering how many statues there are to exit.Both games have pretty poor/mid bosses, but I'd say Wuchang atleast has a few like the Commander who were big difficulty spikes

Also maybe unpopular opinion but I absolutely hate the slow down on perfect parrying, it feels terrible for keeping in rhythm with enemy swings.
