I was looking at the "Panic Floor!!" steam page today.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1971670/Panic_Floor/ Good certified /v/ anon-made game btw, you should check it out.

Anyway. Bored out of my mind, I scrolled down to the "more like this" section and saw games like Silksong, Celeste etc but something caught my eye. I clicked the thumbnail and found this game. I was reading the description, looking at the art and thought "Huh. Doesn't this look like Rusted Moss?"

Turns out Iron Bramble is indeed being made by the same people behind that game. Figures, I've always been slow to recognize these things. Still it's funny how the miniature art for the game caught my eye, enough for me to click on it. I wouldn't even have known they were making another game.

RM was such an amazing metroidvania, I'm glad to see the devs making more stuff. Thanks for reading my blog

thanks for sharing. i don't normally like metroidvanias but i'm a sucker for this type of gritty artstyle. will definitely wishlist and look out for a demo to see if it feels as heavy as it looks
I was never interested in panic floor so I don't think I ever would have seen this one
>>
I see the same dev is listed on Rusted Moss, I'm gonna try that to get an idea of what they can do. Seems to be similar
>>
I played some of the previous game and it was alright except for the men pretending to be women in lead, decent mechanics despite that
>>
Rusted Moss was based and I'll be praying on this one's success but holy shit you sound like you glow in the dark
>>
Emlise worked on TWWWR which I also really liked (cheap, short, and sweet). I was wonder if this is the artist?

Hope you enjoy it, rusted moss became one of my favorite games and I initially got into it around the time Nine Sols came out.

The visual style was the dead giveaway, but I got caught by surprise when reading the text description of the gameplay. It sounded extremely familiar and the artstyle got me "aha!" if that makes sense.

I have learned to make peace with troon devs, but I could sort of tell. The writing in the game felt strange at times.

I just like talking about videogames and wanted to share this strange serendipity experience.

>TWWWR
Nice, this is something I didn't know about. Looking at the trailer it also feels like rusted moss lol, so your guess about Emlise being the artist makes sense.

Forgot (you) as well. Thanks for the bump NIGGER.
>>
Problem I have with these games is that they're absolute dogshit to play on controller. Purely keyboard and mouse games

I tried the switch version and yeah it was kind of clunky. I can't imagine doing webm rel on a controller
