A lot of the changes seem to be for the worse or sidegrades, the new content shown so far all looks mediocre to bad too.I like the weather and seamless exploration with no loading screens (even if it's actually slower), but I feel like the original will remain superior.

>>739394735Easy to get waylaid while sailing. The winds are unpredictable and can land you dead in the water for weeks at a time if it just stops blowing. Hunger and starvation were huge problems for sailors at the time, and most mutinies happened because of it. Also cannibalism. Having a pig you can slaughter and then eat just in case alleviates that, plus sailors liked to adopt them as mascots for the duration of the trip.

on the topic of pigs, I've had an idea for a druid tribe focused on boars. boar familiars, shapeshifting into boars, boar themed outfits/weapons etc. so a big thing is they keep a semi tame herd of boars as part of their schtict. they don't raise them exclusively for eating, but they do eat the boars when their time comes. I figure that's reasonable, living with nature, circle of life, no waste, they live on within us, etc. Would it also be reasonable for the druids to then offer themselves as food for the boars when their own time comes? Maybe just a small amount as a ceremonial thing so you don't have imagery of the boars chowing down on people. I feel like it's not too outlandish, but would readers feel some strong aversion to such an idea? a tribe of people casually living with animals that have eaten people.
