>Omikron The only time Cage made something resembling a real video game. It’s pretty bad as a video game, but at least it tries. Never again would Cage risk this much gameplay.>Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy Starts as a murder mystery, ends with Mayan AI cult nonsense. QTEs for everything, even sex scenes. Pure schlock. Almost entertaining, but the nonsense outweighs the charm. The prototype for all his “interactive movies.”>Heavy Rain Press X to Jason. Press X to Shaun. Plot holes you could drive a truck through. Gameplay is walking slowly and crying. His worst work, remembered more for memes than for anything resembling innovation.>Beyond: Two Souls Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe carry the whole thing. Nonlinear story is ambitious but messy and shits the bed at the end. The ghost buddy mechanic adds a faint whiff of gameplay, especially in co-op. Better than Heavy Rain, but that’s not saying much. What happened to Ellen Page anyway.>Detroit: Become Human Android civil rights allegory written with a sledgehammer. Branching storylines are actually fun to follow, even if the metaphors are painfully obvious. Mechanically a step back, but polished enough to be his most watchable movie game.
