What's your current physical/digital/GCK ratio?
>>
>>739402758
>game key card
>aka worst of both worlds
>>
>game keycard
>>
I only buy physical. GKCs sucks but its what we're saddled with. They did not include nearly enough storage on the console and micro express sd cards are prohibitively expensive, meanwhile games just get bigger and more unoptomized. Yup, its physical only for me
>>
>>739403248
just uninstall the games you aren't currently playing
>>
>>739402758
What's new that's good and Switch exclusive? Preferably physical?
>>
100% GKC
Physical is a thing of the past
>>
>>739403423
I do. Its not enough. And the fact is I shouldn't even have to do that. Nintendo really fucked up with the storage on this console
>>
With how big the file sizes are I just play multiplat games on PC. I got a 256 gig SD express card but it's half full from my Switch 1 library. I bought Pokopia digital only because the file size was small and it's a GKC. I'm hoping Zelda and Monolith's next game aren't GKCs.
>>
>>739402758
Physical:
>Donkey Kong Bananza
Best game on the platform
>Kirby Ari Riders
Really fun, play it with my nephews
>Metroid Prime 4
A disappointing game that has the bones of something decent

Digital:
>Hollow Knight Silksong
Great game
>Pokopia
Great game
>Mario Kart World
Really good and will get better with time

GKC:
None. I refuse.
Adventures of Elliot is tempting me though
>>
I'll take Animal Crossing on the Gamecube please.
>>
>>739402758
Up til recently, outside of digital indies, my only Switch 2 games were Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Pragmata, with DK being my only physical game.
But I managed to find a copy of the Resident Evil Generations pack for below MSRP recently, so now my physical collection is 3:1 GKC
>>
File: 1673946449230269.jpg (37 KB, 750x719)
37 KB JPG
physical:
>DK bananza
>mario kart world
>kirby switch 2 edition
>age of imprisonment
>mario wonder switch 2 edition
digital:
>BOTW upgrade pack
>air riders
>red dead redemption switch 2 edition
>hollow knight switch 2 edition
i primarily buy physical unless the digital version is on sale for way cheaper. i bought air riders digitally because i wanted to have constant access to it and the shortest load times possible, physical MKW's load times kind of pissed me off.
no interest in GKC over digital, a GKC would have to be on clearance for me to buy it. i don't share or resell my games so it's just worse digital.

They could have got the best of both worlds with a cartridge that had slow read speeds but massive capacity, it prompts you to:
A install from cart
B install from servers
C hybrid install of both
There would be an ETA displayed based on your known internet connection speed, so you could make an educated choice during installation. If the servers ever went offline it would simply disable B and C.
>>
>>739402758
I'm playing Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.
Super Mario Odyssey next.
>>
>>739402758
Right now, 7 proper physicals. 2 game key cards. But I have 4 game key cards on preorder.

Game key cards:
FF7R - both remake and rebirth come with cards so thats something at least.
P3R - Got it at 50% off.
Tales of Arise, Granblue Relink and Digimon on preorder. Got them with the playasia preorder sale. I wouldn't pay full price for gamekeycard.

Most recent physical was Indiana Jones.
>>
>>739408651
Oh and I also got Pokopia and Star Wars outlaws digitally but I would have gotten them physical if they had proper physicals.
>>
>>739402758
Don't have a Switch, but I'm playing MK8DX and Hello Kitty Island Adventure, plus a few other games too.
If I had a Switch 1/2, I'd be full digital since I don't have anywhere to store games physically. Game Key Cards are bullshit though, Nintendo got off easy for that.
>>
>>739402758
People have pointed out that the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions demos have been removed from the eshop. Native port announcement soon?
>>
>>739410431
KH on a game key card? HOLY SMOKES
Thanks Square Enix!
>>
should i get the gundam cross rays and persona 4 for the switch?
>>
>>739410548
Who cares if it's on game key card. It's 100x better than the cloud version
>>
Pokopia GKC, Physical Yoshi, Mario Kart World Digital. Will get Splatoon Raiders digitally.
>>
>>739402758
I mainly have GKCs to play games in relative short burst before trading them in for more games. I recently traded in MHS3 and Pragmata for the new Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders. I'm playing Persona 3 Reload now.
>>739410560
Golden? Sure, why not? The upcoming remake? I'd wait for a sale like I did for Reload.
>>739403248
>>739403516
I really wish the Switch 2 wasn't forced to use Express cards. I can take a dip in load times if it means not having to rush out to get a more expensive SD card with less storage.
>>739404039
>>739406950
I really wish I got Air Riders and Pokopia digitally. I know I'm keeping them and having to change the cards is a pain.
>>739408651
I got Digimon Switch 1 edition, which isn't a GKC, but it also is??? Indiana Jones looks interesting.
>>739410431
Hopefully. I want to try them out.

I'm buying one next week (or whenever I can be fucked to travel to jb hifi) for Splatoon Raiders.

What og switch games simply run better on Switch 2 without requiring $10 upgrade packs? I know TOTK upgrade is paid, but I'm talking about just a straight up performance boost. Is there a list?
>>
>fftactics
>got s1 physical and comes with free upgrade to s2 because s2 is gkc
>octopath 0
>got s1 physical but doesnt come with an option to upgrade, while s2 is gkc
>can live with because the recent boost update and 30fps for traditional jrpg isnt the worst
>elliot
>going to be the same debacle as above
>but worse because action game
fuck everything
>>
>>739402758
0/0/0

Fuck the shitch poo and its lack of games and fuck all of you goy cattle buying it when there's nothing to play
>>
>>739411876
Elliot doesn't even have a switch 1 version so you're fucked.
>>
>>739411729
Totk paid upgrade is not worth it, but the base game still runs better on Switch 2.
It's a great game of you like exploring and haven't played botw.
>>
>>739402758
When is the switch 2 lite coming out?
>>
>>739402758
I used to buy only physical for my switch 1 but for 2 I'm going full digital.
>>
>>739402758
200 physical games, 100 digital games, 1 game key card.
>>
>>739402758
>digital
3
>physical
6
>key card
One but I got it digital first, I had gotten the collector's edition which was sadly a key card
>>
>>739413690
Forgot to list
Digital
>MKW
>SpongeBob Titans of the Tide
>Sonic X Shadow Generations
Physical
>Kirby Air Riders
>Prime 4
>Bananza
>Mario Tennis Fever
>Age of Imprisonment
>Sonic CrossWorlds
then SpongeBob was sadly a key card, but I have it digitally so it's a formality
>>
>>739411729
>but I'm talking about just a straight up performance boost. Is there a list?
Nearly every game is going to have faster load times, so it's essentially everything. Some games like Pokemon Scarlet/Violet are just a lot more noticeable.
>>
>>739411876
desu I'm not buying games that are on Game Key Cards. At all. Not GKC, not digitally, not on other platforms, not at all. Fuck 'em.

Not playing Pokopia, not playing Pragmata, not playing Bravely Default, not playing Sparking Zero, not playing Remake, not playing Rebirth, not playing Octopath, fuck them.
>>
>>739414435
I played ZA on my switch and am currently playing Sword, I prefer turnbased. I'm gonna skip Scarlet/Violet entirely. it might be easier for me to post what I have instead of asking for a list. most of these will get an fps/res boost, right? I have Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Fire Emblem Warriors getting delivered monday.

I will say though, the loading screens aren't too bad on the og switch. I have a samsung nvme 990 pro on my pc, and while the difference is noticable, it's not TOO bad. The loading is a lot better than it is on my base PS4 anyways, that shit was insufferable - especially when I'd play Bloodborne or CTR.
>>
>>739402758
60-70%-ish physical. rest digital. though digital is mostly indies or smaller titles.
I refuse GKCs since square, capcom, bethaseda, etc are being turbo kikes.
Been playing Air Riders and Yoshi's Mysterious Book.
If anyone could give some tips for Croaoke and Nep-Enut I'd appreciate it.
Game has some good brain teasers I'll say.
>>
>>739403472
define 'new' 1 month old? 3? 6?
>>
>>739411729
>but I'm talking about just a straight up performance boost. Is there a list?
virtually everything.
But
>Astral Chain
>Bayo Origins
>Splatoon3
>Odyssey
>Xenoblade2
are some major ones.

Im at 4 physical and like 10 digital for switch 2. I still havent bought a gkc because at that point i might as well buy digital and stop suffering
>>
>>739402758
12 games, 1 GKC
about to buy 4 games
physical
16 games, 1 GKC

do the right thing, fags.
>>
>>739414737
>most of these will get an fps/res boost, right?
actually, most of those games wont see a big difference, but the load times will be a bit better. bayonetta 3, however, looks and runs WAY better on S2.
youll see the biggest bump with games that have unlocked framerates (resident evil 5, revelations, all the dynasty warriors) and games that use dynamic resolution, because the S2 just brute forces all the settings to their max.
there are also a couple games that jump to 60fps even when they were locked to 30, like rabbids kingdom battle, presumably because the game was coded to run at 60 if it could, but if it couldnt (like when played on S1) then it would cut back to 30. these instances are very rare though.
>>
>>739402758
>What's your current physical/digital/GCK ratio?
It's pretty much all digital for +150 games save for like 2 cartridges: Blaster Master Zero Trilogy since the voice-acting is exclusive on the cart, and SRW T for the Premium Edition sound as the digital version was long discontinued (but the DLCs could be still purchased).
I only bother with physical cartridges when I rent games from the local library, and game key cards will allow the same regardless how much unnecessary seethe they generate on the Internet.
