Is Team Fortress 2 still playable in 2026?
No.Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
The fundamental gameplay is still there and endlessly entertaining, but everything surrounding it is worse than it was a decade ago

The voice actor for Soldier died. I stopped playing around that time. It’s no longer the same.

Bots are gone but you can still manually hack because VAC is a fucking joke and the Source engine has been pried open to no return years ago
What is the best way to counter snipers? they've ruined half of my recent games and nobody seems to know how to deal with them

>>739404913No. It's full of closet cheaters that nobody ever kicks no matter how blatant. They could have a glaring VAC ban on their profile and they're more likely to kick you for calling them out than the cheater keeping the other team in spawn. Match making doesn't even work most of the time. You'll get like 1 playable match out of 30 where you're just 3 v 8 waiting for more players to join that never will or the round is already over when you join.
