>I HAVE BACKLOG ANXIETY!!!
I lost my backlog when my backloggd account got banned and now im having fun with vidya again, I dont think I'll ever go back to that backlog shit
>>739406346people with backlog anxiety are basically digital hoarders
>>739406539how did you manage to get banned? did you call someone the n-word?
>>739406346Just play whatever the fuck you want lol. Don't bother restarting a game you dropped awhile ago, if you still have a save file just pick up where you left off.
Do you guys kick yourself so hard over buying food that you end up not eating too? Probably notGames don't even expire
Just pick 3 games to play. It's not hard.
>clear out all the short games in backlog>left with a bunch of 50+ hour RPGs
>>739407425yes i do, its a waste of money and people are retarded about shit like this
>backlog of 300+ games>stopped enjoying vidyaowari da..
>>739407595Thats my plan but theres like 300 non JRPG games on my backlog and some are games like Kingdom Come Deliverance which while not a JRPG is still long as fuck
I have over 500 games on my wishlist.
>>739407425Forgetting to cook something and having to toss it out really burns my ass. I don't do it often anymore, but when it happens I feel like a wasteful sack of shit.
How do you not have time for vidya?
>>739406346literally me
I've beaten maybe 3 games in the last 2 years
>>739408702i'd rather spend all that time thinking about what to play and do, but not acting on any of it. i've probably put 10k+ hours in the old indecision thinking trick at this point. i don't even do things anymore, i just imagine doing them instead, or reliving things. this is the final and most devastating state of the human spirit, when you realize the anticipation of something is worth more than obtaining that something, when you've reached that point you've entered into old age and are effectively dead
>get to the last level of a game>drop it for years and never finish itFAHHH
People with backlogs don't enjoy playing games, they see it as a chore and something to show off.
>>739406346This doesn't exist if you pirate.
my secret is using one of those wheel spinner sites to randomly choose one to play like it's a game show.>*click to spin wheel* "and today's lucky winner is...devil dice for the ps1!"

>>739406346>backlogif you treat games like a job you won't enjoy themaccept the inevitable fact that you will never play every single video game that exists before you die and just play the ones that interest you. you'll be much happier
>>739410798I will never die.
>>739407595>Clearing out short gamesHeh, rookie mistake....
>683 games>3 completed (dark souls 2, fallout 3, and starfield)
>>739408702I waste all my mental energy reading demotivation bait on this site
>>739406346You're poor, you wouldn't get it.
I can’t even comprehend “clearing out” a backlog. That legitimately sounds like some sort of obsessive compulsive mental illness. A video game is a hobby, a leisure activity. Play what you want to play when you want to play it, and if you don’t actually WANT to play something, beyond some neurotic desire to check it off a list, don’t play it. Anything else is addict behavior
>>739407595Good. Now you can get fully immersed.
>>739406346>haven't bought a single game in all of 2026 yet, spent the whole year clearing my backlog>still, got 61 games left
>>739413795Best comment itt some games arent worth finishing. Vidya stories dont have the best writing compared to movies.
>>739406346The backlog exists in your mind. How can it give you anxiety? The moment you decide it no longer exists, it disappears.
>>739406346make a short list of 10 to 20 games you might want to play from it.
>Throw everything into backlog folder>Place 3 games (have to be different genres) on desktop>Rotate through them>Replace when finished
>>739406346I only have this problem when I realize I spent money on a game I don't like
>>739408702crippling 4chan addiction, probably
I bought all the Resident Evil games and realized I don't even like Resident Evil, too late to refund them by the time I realized it. Bought all the DMC games recently and I'm playing through the first one. I'm getting raped but I'm liking it more than Resident Evil. Whoever said Ninja Gaiden is harder than DMC is full of shit.
>>739417743The dangers of buying shit in bulk. I bought all 3 Danganronpa games only to find out they're not for me.
>>739410032this, what an absolutely retarded thing this is
>>739406346I finished 2 games in my backlog this week and I enjoyed them :)Now I'm back to playing live service slop for a month.
>>739408702i dont have the mental energy/capacity to get properly immersed in any games with even a slight amount of depth/nuance esp if i cant complete the game in one sittingthis would (prolly) not be the case if i wasnt retarded and didnt have a dogshit wagie schedule
>>739417475But anon what if I did this with 200 games
>>739410032>>739410108>>739417983But what if I don't like the game I'm playing? I already paid money for it and bought it years ago so no refunds
>>739417940This but with like 200 games
