Before anything, I'm semi-hardcore but mostly just a casual player that plays off and on over an expansion and I've been playing since 05'I don't necessarily understand all the grievances or why people seem so upset about this expansion, I felt that both Dragonflight and now War Within (even though it's only been what, a week and a half give or take a few days?)I think what I dislike most are the lockouts to the story when it was getting interesting.I will say this though, from all the things I've seen in the past two generals I've lurked in, I do find it weird that they haven't taken what they've, I hope, learned from bringing back Classic and their unique event servers and Pandaria Remix that apparently did really well (I missed that actually). They have/had a large list of new statistics to look over with these soft-rerelease of their older expansions to see what made people like them.I've enjoyed Hallowfall and the story there, I felt the Earthern story was ok but kinda boring to a degree and hope we get better playable allied races later on in the expansion (I really want the two-legged nerubians as playables)

Hero talents seem like a massive failure. None of them seem to create any kind of "ascended" version of any class that elevates their identity. Thematically most of them suck and they don't change the gameplay much for most specs. They broke existing specs to create a reason for them to exist and the theme for most of them only fits a small subset of races that can play the spec. Why would a dwarf want to be a dark ranger for a example. Adding passives that create visual clutter with adds spawning everywhere doesn't really change anything other than making a bad problem worse. Can't think of any redeeming qualities for what was supposed to be one of the biggest features of this "expansion".

City of Threads wants to be Suramar but it isnt even close.

I hate how WOW handles swirlies so fucking much. There is no excuse for it still being so fucking bad at this point.. Currently doing Fungal-Folly and the Green swirlies being obscured by the green-ground + Grass is extremely obnoxious, and it's downright terrible design decisions like these that leads to the extreme over-reliance on addons to deal with this bullshit. The devs that keep designing this shit should honestly be dragged behind the shed and permanently retired. Only the biggest fucking shills and bootlickers could ever defend this shit

Baelgrim's sacrifice was collectively mourned. As the other anon I was speaking with pointed out, the questline where the Earthen was losing his memories (basically dementia) was very gutwrenching, all of which supports the main conflict for the Earthen- they are literally dying out, and its a tragedy. No one is cheering over the losses being suffered. Adelgonn mourns Baelgrim.
