chapter 3 will have a mechanic for switching channels, which is how you travel between all the different areas. each area will be drastically different and have little gimmicks. one of the channels requires you to switch from cable to antenna, which leads to a channel that is nothing but white noise. said channel is inhabited by a disembodied voice who tells you you're not supposed to be there and kicks you out back to the green room.the white noise channel is the chapter 3 schizo, who can only be accessed by using the shadow mantle, which can only be acquired very late into the game after the meta-gameplay mechanics have been introduced. he is a formerly famous and successful being from the pre-cable era who's game show was cancelled, and he was abandoned in the snow after tenna stopped picking up a signal. he blames tenna for everything, not knowing that tenna himself was abandoned.there will be an uncomfortable amount of overlap between the ch. 3 schizo and spamton, but by this point in the story players will have a rough understanding of how mike ties into it.

People say Deltarune is based on Massachusetts, well from what I understand parts of that New England area (maybe Vermont / New Hampshire) get ridiculously white for the US, like 95%+. So a nearly all-monster ethnicity small town doesn't have to be unrealistic at all, even if the broader country has a significant human population. I grew up in Indiana and there's many towns with almost no black people. I remember once when I was a little kid I met a black kid at a water park and I described the kid as such to my mom and she had to correct me that you shouldn't accidentally single people out by race. The kid behind the door in Hometown that mentions Kris being human could be the same way.

Susie says there are giant human rampage movies just like there are giant monster rampage movies. It's a joke but it also shows that humans are on TV and therefore part of Deltarune-verse Hollywood. So it doesn't have to be that Kris has never had the opportunity to see other humans, rather Kris just doesn't want to see other humans. The most likely explanation being that it reminds Kris they are different. I haven't been a big enthusiast in the "Kris species dysphoria" theory but thinking about it like this it makes more sense.

I get the feeling that, on top of his wrist problems, (and probably because of them) Toby is probably extremely depressed and that's causing him to lag behind in productivity, and unfortunately all of his "friends" in his "team" are too preoccupied with their personal projects to help get the game finished in a reasonable time frame. They know fully well that Toby's wrist problems complicate the whole process and they legitimately are too self-absorbed to care. The only guy who's actually on Toby's side is his producer.

>>495662529Fair, I've been watching Yugioh GX recently, and since I've had both on the mind, I've been trying to come up with an AU that swaps/merges the characters in a somewhat sensible manner. I've decided that Berdly definitely takes the place of Jun Manjoume, as they're both arrogant in a similar way, and refuse to interact with people with a low academic standing until they learn some semblance of humility later on. Thus they both start as low level antagonists and gradually shift to ally/friendly rival characters. At some point I considered Berdly in the role of Daichi Misawa, but they don't have a lot in common besides being archetypal nerds of some sort. I'm also somewhat married to the idea of Noelle swapping with Asuka Tenjoin and Dess with Fubuki Tenjoin, since they have a similar relationship at the start of their respective stories, though I might change that decision depending on how Dess's character develops. Logically, being the protagonist, Kris would have to take the place of Judai, even if their personalities are significantly different, matching Kris up with anyone else would skew the web of character relations and make it harder to find analogues for other characters. They aren't entirely without similarities though. Duel Spirits and Darkners are vaguely similar concepts, so darkner characters should swap with Duel Monsters cards instead of human characters, though not every card necessarily needs a corresponding darkner. Kris's deck could for example have several cards resembling members of a jrpg party, one of which would be Ralsei.
