Almost the same damage for a full mag. Tenderizer is very accurate, but i guess some people may like to have 45 bullets instead of 35.

Talking about numbers, the two marksman rifles do pretty much the same damage too. Most "normal" weapons are around that actually, it seems. You'd think a DMR would get at least a bit more damage because they're harder to use at close range or something.
Shotguns absolutely rape ass tho, they do x2 the damage per mag. They're only close range, sure, but still, they're impossible to beat.

They still dont penetrate enemies/corpses so its just a damage stream you have to get extremely close with. The visual was reverted so thats, nice, I guess.

Most enemies were brought down to T4 armor so almost all support weapons can damage them, their health pool was buffed so there is still a reason to have pure anti-tank as they are now mostly oneshots.

All support weapon MGs are good, stalwart is meh. Matching armor damage penalty was buffed from half damage to 65% damage.

Brap nades are a pseudo stun, the brap thrower and brap dog are meh. Orbital Brap is still good. Less damage centric, I reckon it'll get a duration or damage buff next patch.

So-so, flamer primary and secondary are the only non-support weapons that can penetrate T4 armor. Flamethrower is still very much gimped.

They did, indirectly, by reducing our health and increasing damage for most enemies.

A lot of stratagems are useable, still a few underdogs but we have way more build variety now instead of OPS, 500KG, E. Airstrike, Support Weapon.

they were slotted to be replaced by the new kill squads but in a typical arrowhead fashion they replaced the current spawns with nothing

OPS and MG are the two strats you start off with, eagle airstrike and EAT are really early level but very good stratagems. Honestly not a bad loadout, well rounded enough I think

Liberator Carbine is solid after the most recent buffs, Shotgun has always been fine but it's competing against the utility of the GL, Knife is still not worth considering. The booster Experimental Infusion is still really good though. In terms of general primaries you can use Lib/Lib Carbine, Diligence, Any of the shotguns except the Breaker or Slugger (Yes the S&P is actually good now). The Crossbow is exceedingly strong after its most recent buff and will probably be nerfed next patch. Scythe is good against bots but meh against bugs.

The booster has always been the only good part of it. Lib Carbine and Bushwhacker are just flavor, I like the Lib Carbine but it doesn't have any major defining characteristics besides high firing rate (which the Knight does better).

And yeah, people talk up Peak Physique all the time, and it's not bad, but you don't need to buy the warbond for that and other armor perks can be just as good if not better.

Polar Patriots has Tenderizer, Pummeler and Verdict, I will never shit-talk it. I would say that Steeled Veterans is less mandatory since Senator is mostly flavor while Dominator isn't as good as Punisher Plasma (hell, I wouldn't even say it's as good as Adjudicator).

Dominator and tenderizer are both okay, they're kinda out done by other choices in many ways but they're certainly a good enough pick. Penetrator went from dogshit that shouldn't exist to below average. Flamethrower is niche but very solid at that niche and it can melt down most heavy armored units.

When I played it was awful because it reduced it's breakpoint damage so things that used to get one tapped took 2 so you were essentially reloading constantly. It also stopped murdering the fucking cloaking enemies as well and was made worse on bots.
On paper that little nerf shouldn't have done anything, but because of how tiny it's mag is and how armored enemies were it was pure cancer and I just swapped back to the sickle.

Tenderizer was absolute dogshit at launch, it's seen at least two buff passes to the point where it's actually good now.

Pummeler is advertised as a Stalker and Bile Spewer killer, it does so much stagger/stun in one shot that it instantly interrupts any medium-sized enemy.

Purifier is still shit, but there's no guarantee it won't eventually get buffed. Everyone knows it's shit, it'll probably just be a matter of time.

Verdict has always been good, even if it's just flavor. It isn't starved for rounds like the Peacemaker and Redeemer. I personally like it enough that I'll always defend this shitty warbond to the death on the merits of the Space Deagle alone.

Otherwise yeah, you're right, this warbond is still one of the weakest ones. Motivational Shocks used to be okay back when bile slows cut your speed down to walking, but after the slows got nerfed there's no reason to pick it anymore.

I know you're not going to believe me but reducing the damage by 25 did nothing to change any breakpoints in practice other than requiring 1 more shot to pop a chargers ass. Nursing spewers with 300 HP on their head and legs? Due to rounding and floating point number errors you only ever got the one shot if you were walking forward while shooting them, something nobody knew was a thing at the time of the nerf. Same for scout strider hips; it was always 3 shots in practice, not 2. Same for bile spewer heads. Nothing else changed. Not against devastators, not against stalkers, not against scout strider legs, nothing but the ass of a charger.
Your perception is what changed, the weapon didn't. You just saw "nerf" and started believing it was performing worse than it was when it actually didn't perform any differently in 99% of cases. You saw those instances where you failed to hit the Stalker's 175 HP head and started believing it was because the damage was reduced when it was just you failing to land the shot that time.

What trash? Scavengers whose highest HP value at the time was 80? Or hunters which was 175? Or Warriors whose heads are only 150? Raiders whose bodies are only 100 HP? How is 275 damage not enough to one shot all of these? Only the warriors body would take 2 shots but guess what? It has 325 HP so even if the dominator still had 300 damage it would still be 2 shots. Reducing the damage to 275 changes literally nothing but the shots required to kill a chargers ass, and even then it only increases it by 1, from 8 to 9. You want to know why the dominator doesn't kill a hunter in one shot sometimes? Because you are hitting one of its eight non-fatal hit zones, none of which transfer enough damage to the main HP for the difference between 300 damage and 275 damage to matter.

Devstators heads were only 125 HP, their chests are 425 Hp and 30% durable so the dominator with 300 damage was doing 118 damage to them, needing 4 shots to kill. At 275 damage the dominator did 109 damage... which is still 4 shots to kill with chest shots. Devastator legs are two shots to kill for 300 damage or 275 damage. Only the hips of scout striders on paper went from a 2 shot kill to a 3 shot kill but those 2 shots do exactly 300 damage so if you were standing still or moving backwards while you fired them you wouldn't actually do 300 damage, you'd be doing slightly less, thus needing the third shot anyways. Same for bile spewer heads on the bug front.

In terms of fun and game feel arc thrower is great. hyper versatile and gives a niche that a lot of players want to play.

Flamethrower "buffed" (got nerfed from before EoF, DPS is lower now, hopefully will get fixed) , but gas indirectly buffed it. Now it's really solid. You don't need EMS or stun grenades. You just confuse hordes and finish them off with the flamethrower.
Leg meta is still super viable too.

However the massive buff to enemy damage will make it a bit harder to use.
Gas fixed a lot of problems it had though, and in the long term it's better now.

With this game it feels like nothing important has happened for a while now, sure we get "defend le planets" type bullshit (like the current MO) but what is the endgame? It doesn't feel like there are truly any stakes. The automatons have been 1 sector away from super earth for like 2 months.

As everyone said, Eruptor used to use Orbital Airburst shrapnel, which was insanely overpowered. The stories about people one-shotting Chargers with butt shots are probably true. Anyone who demands the original Eruptor back is out of their fucking mind.

Current Eruptor uses Frag Grenade shrapnel (post buff) and a weaker explosion (the explosion radius is bigger than before the patch but less than post-buff Frag Grenade). It will still utterly fuck up whatever you directly hit with it.

It has its durable damage slightly nerfed and its stagger slightly buffed. It can technically break armor on Terminid heavies and kill Hulks, but they've had their HP massively buffed so it's very bad at that. I would say use it to kill Devastators and blow up small bot guns (Mortar and AA), and maaaybe for Tank heat sinks and Factory Strider chin guns. Not sure how good it is against Hulk eyes anymore. But it should still be bad against bugs because shit ammo.

So I've been looking at a new warbond to get and I was wondering what's the deal with Pummeler from the Polaris warbond?
Strictly speaking, it seems completely inferior to the defender on paper : same recoil, same magazine size, but less damage and less ROF, and they both have the exact same perks (one-handed and light PEN)

Its effectiveness against non-heavy enemies hasn't changed, you can still mow down Devastators like they're nothing, and that's something you can't put a price on. All AP4 weapons suck against heavies now, the whole point of the change was that you would need to use AT weapons to kill them. Besides, detection radius on enemies is still huge. AC sentry is kind of outclassed by rocket sentry, especially on bugs. they are about equal on bots.
AC sentry has one massive flaw: the rotation speed
you need the enemies to be concentrated in 1 direction and on bugs, that's only the case in about 10% of engagements and on low difficulty.
i would not run AC sentry on bugs. use rockets if youre looking for an anti tank sentry solution

Your four strategem slots no longer include reds. So you only choose which blues and greens you want to take.

All reds are always available, but you have to remember the combination. Also, reds are all on cooldown based on the cooldown of the last one you used. You can rattle off gas strikes constantly, but using orbital lasers will lock you out of reds for a long time.

Rocket pods are best when you have a heavy enemy close by like a charger, tank, bt, hulk etc. so you don't kill yourself or others with something like an airstrike. And I'm pretty sure they kill tanks and cannon turrets in 1 hit.

Use in conjunction with strafe run. Sweep over a mass of mediums, hitting a heavy in the process, then finish it off with rockets.

Honestly, though, it needs at least 5 uses to make that worth it. I don't care how good the auto targeting is. The rockets are nowhere close to EAS in any situation, and they have the same uses.
