I've been spending the last few weeks trying to teach claude to use a long term memory - for auto summary, making plans, coming up with background events, etc. today I give up. the idea has merit, but ST sucks. the only way for the LLM itself to write variables is via {{setvar}} macros, and they have completely backwards and extremely brittle syntax. claude hates using it, and I can't even blame it. the only way I could do it is via some custom extension, I think. unless someone has a different idea?
