This is another long ramble by me. I’m writing this after a long day while I’m tired… but I’ve been slightly frustrated over something for a while. With all the hype for the Flame Chasers that we had today, I thought I should put out my thoughts to get them off my chest and hope that it will make me feel a little better.Seeing all the hype around Amphoreus highlights how beloved the Flame Chasers are by the community. Honestly, I don’t know what HoYoverse was smoking when they created them, but they struck gold. It’s fascinating how much of an impact (pun intended) these characters have had on the game. What’s funny is that initially, a lot of players didn’t like them because they seemed to overshadow the main cast. The usual complaint was: “Why should I care about characters I know nothing about?” But as the story unfolded and we got to know them better, the community slowly warmed up to them. By the time Elysia was released in 6.0, HI3 hit its highest player count ever.This reminds me of where we are now with Part 2. I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point—I’m definitely a Part 2 glazer and I embrace that—but I genuinely believe the story and characters have so much potential. That said, I also recognize that Part 2 has its flaws. It’s no masterpiece (though, let’s be honest, no gacha story is), but I feel like much of the hate or indifference it gets isn’t because it’s bad, but because people are looking for reasons not to care about it.

To wrap up this ramble, I just hope that one day Part 2’s story and cast will be appreciated with the same love and passion as Part 1’s cast and the Flame Chasers.
