the saddest thing is the game is actually for one on a good path. the last expansion was for the most part good, had interesting archetypes and lower power level is very much appreciated. the problem is blizzard is slow and unwilling to do drastic rapid changes. they should keep nerfing and buffing and changing card text NOW. do it every two weeks, do it again and again and again until all the bullshit is purged from standard. Mulligan for Traveler / Ramp and AoE vs aggro classes (Invaders + Aftershocks good, but Sanitize too slow vs aggro

Zola in the E.T.C. so you can go infinite against Kil'Jaeden with Fizzle.
They can't beat ceaseless expanse + station every turn no matter how big their demons are.

Wheel Warlock and Asteroid Shaman are the worst matchups.
Aftershocks + Alloy Advisor is a nice combo to gain armor and clear
Don't forget that 1 mana ignis weapon with poisonous is OP as fuck if you can get deal 2 damage or deathrattle.

If you don't have Yogg you can run a a brawl.

how and why did we end up with discover being such a core and prominent mechanic in this game?
picrel, in mtg, cards that give you multiple situational options are extremely powerful despite being relatively extremely restrictive. picrel is only a 3 mana spell, but you have to have 1 specific combination of 3 different colors of mana to use it. if you don't play mtg it might not be obvious, but this is a pretty major restriction
you also have to put MTG charms in your deck as they are, while in HS most discover effects are attached to another effect that you already wanted anyway. so it's literally just free absurd levels of power that everyone gets
and it also never "randomly" decides to get you out of jail by offering you extremely overpowered/situationally good cards like discover does
i literally could keep going. the relative power level of discover as a mechanic is fucking unreal. and i seriously cannot believe it never once got put in check

Starships inherently are flawed due to the doom blade argument. It's why they mostly exist to give you armor or deal damage as it's great for burst. A big minion by itself is worthless unless it's cloned and spammed, which is why Starship rogue is a thing.
