I've never been a shield guy or defense guy but I'm gonna try the lance today because from what I'm seeing it looks like it's more about movement techs than combos and reaction over preemptive wisdom employment. Like I actually have to pay attention to enemy attacks and die fairly easily whereas with LS I just facetank attack after attack and can easily roll out/I-frame out of anything to heal. At that point, so what if my damage output is slightly worse?
