On paper, it seems like hybridding arkvulcan and vulkan would be the best Omega tanking setup for the part breaking, wound inflicting, weak point targetting, fire res, healing off wound breaks and weapon spams, and high defense. Maybe with a dragon sword and shield so you can actually dodge, and dragon element is equal to thunder damage to the Omega's head but the armor boosts dragon element damage woth Convert Damage. I'm thinking the devs purposely made the Omega head weak to Dragon so the tank player could use arkvulcan and dragon to deal extra damage to the head which is the weakpoint for more shields and wound breaks. I'm not sure though.

I keep hearing people complain about the new games being easier, but when I as a pretty skilled hunter play them I find the older games to be much easier actually. For example, World Jyuratodus took me around 7 minutes to solo using progression gear (3 minutes after getting muck resistance). But in Freedom, I killed the Cephadrome in 2 minutes. That’s one cycle. And there was less to the fight I had to think about, I could just wail my greatsword around and he died on the spot. I noticed hunts in the later games take either the same amount of time as earlier games or are slightly longer. They are much more intense (faster, bigger, more diverse movesets) and have more mechanics to consider, like muck, or Bishatens fruit you can use to poison him back. Although I haven’t played Wilds, from seeing new players’ reviews they weren’t exactly killing everything in 3 minutes like the vets but found it pretty difficult, time consuming and the gameplay poorly explained.Which game would you introduce to a fresh new hunter? Personally I’d recommend FU or P3rd. 1st gen is just bad, Tri/U has underwater, 4th and 5th gen are too hard.

This is my Omega Build. It's extremely tanky, self healing, and does fucktons of damage. Basically:>Relies on Dragon elemental Artisian, 3 attack, dual blades>Full Arkveld armor except the sash>Ark heals you with consecutive attacks, perfect for demon mode dual blade self healing>Ark has high fire resistance, some ice resistance, great defense, tons of jewel slots>Arkveld has convert element dragon, so when you take elemental damage you gain ton of dragon damage. That's why I chose dragon over thunder which Omega is also weak to.>if you CAN land the back slinging special, the rear power unit of Omega is extremely weak to both slash AND Dragon. 4 stars in both of those>3 fire jewels to tank a little fire for the element convert, plus a little defense>3 medicine and recovers to max healing>2 def jewels, 5 def charm to defense max>1 potential jewel for extra dodging, massive difference in demon mode with dual blades>1 potential jewel for 50 extra defense if you get in a bind>Suja sash has 3 divine blessings built in and has 3 slots, a great trade off>3 crit elem, 3 enhancer, 3 focus, 3 dragons for the weapon which is artian attack dragonEssentially it's a healing tank but the dragon element and elemental conversion carry you so you're DPSing without worrying as much about death. I shredded the Omega while playing with randoms but the Nerscylla fucked up one of the randoms and we got wiped after failing the DPS check.

Same with the 3 bug gathering spots and the bug tree or the 3 fishing spots and then the fish net machine. You basically don't need to gather outside of the farm at all once you fully upgrade it unless you want to speed things up even more. Also garuga isn't out of the way at all. It shows up after 3 star quests I believe it was and then you just fight it like 6 times to upgrade it which is easy unless you're a shitter. That gear will carry you through high rank
