Finished up the Etemon arc. Definitely felt like they just yadda yadda'd and rushed through getting the crests. Etemon was at least a big step up from Devimon. Also, watching the episode where Taichi goes back to the real world, I honestly have no idea what people are on about saying it's super incest-y. the game is a quick one and done once you skip all the cutscenes, cleaned up Mega+ with Imp PM, Magnamon and Jupitermon as my main guys, Mastemon, Lillithmon and Lucemon SM on the backline but they didnt get used very often, Luce and Lillith were basically used to clear a few of the zones with aoe and Mastemon in like 3 fights where Magic damage is important. Didn't lose a single fight (I did choose the wrong Gekkomon option during Plutomon out of curiosity though) was way easier than I was expecting it to be. Didn't use any of the bugged personality skills but without the extra HP from overprotective the game would've been more of a challenge.

Time Stranger has gotten a lot of praise, rightly so, and is recognized as being better than Pokemon, which is a low bar.But now the hypes died down, I don't think Time Stranger is better than Cyber Sleuth or Hackers Memory. In terms of dungeon design, it clearly is better. 10/10.But it has a lot of problems, such as Aegiomon being in every battle, and it felling very disorientating. Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memory had a very regular pattern of you being at base, going out, doing something, then returning to base. That fit a lot better with the digimon farm, The fact you can now have your box accessible at all times also makes the digimon feel very cheap and confusing as to what their role should be.

No clue how some of you beat Time Stranger the weekend it released, I'm 78 hours in and still using Perfects, currently stuck in the TyrantKabuterimon boss fight... mostly because I keep rotating the mons I use to have a challenge, but still. Dealing with dozens of monsters in the farm + box with their individual trainings and evo requirements is madness, maybe I'd have finished by now if I ignored that and just loaded everything into 12 mons or so.
would 02 be improved if they skipped 'normal champions' entirely and just had them jogress with their armor forms?

The way i combated this issue was i didnt give a fuck about personalities, skills or anything and evolved what i could and barreled through the game. Im at the demon lords now and only missing 6 digimon. It will take money but you can fix every digimon post game in a matter of moments in the farm.

You can rotate the other three out for a while or do whatever with them that you want, but focusing on training up the first three to Ultimate/Mega/Mega+ changes the game up a lot especially depending on what Megas you choose to go for. Keeping bond and talent as high as you can and not unnecessarily de-digivolving so that your main damage/healer/tank or whatever you choose to use are constantly strong.
