Blue protocol is now run by tencent, the same company that runs pubg and tower of fantasy. They have always been a greedy and stingy company. Ditto with modern bamco. Literally every MMO that still gets regular content updates is vastly better then NGS with the possible exception of FFXIV. WoW, Guild Wars, Runescape, even shitass ESO are world-class games compared to NGS. Even Destiny is still better with one foot in the grave.

For "fashionista repeated move game" there is Dragon Project...nvm its dead, ok, Elemental Knights Online beats the shit out of NGS. Its a full scale japanese mmo that first debuted on flip phones in portrait mode in 2008. No asobimo slop nonsense, no kmmo grind/rate scandals. You start with an anime minecraft character with tons of free hair/face options, and pick a base class of warrior/thief/mage/cleric. You have chara slots to accommodate each. UI and text? Mostly unfucked with and maintained its charm. Like OG PSO, you pick up side quests alongside a main story where you aren't automatically the chosen one and build rank, meet npcs who become heroes, and fight actual fantasy monsters like slimes/dragons/golems/undead/pirates/crabs across a vast mmo world.

The combat is turn based ATB with auto attacks and MP skills. Weapons have variable attack speed, leading to auto attack/skill rush variety. You unlock advanced classes like Dragon Buster/Lancer/Saber by meeting requirements. HP/MP limits by class actual factor in roleplaying tank/glass cannon, and skills carry over, like warriors atk up carries over to saber, and busters dps breath attacks carries over to weaker base classes, ensuring clerics aren't crapped.

Theres a dragon tower boss rush you climb up with randoms for big loot with its own online lobby. Theres a tower defense mode with giant skeletons and hundreds of red dot swarms. Theres decent seasonals. Theres world bosses on the map you can solo for epicness or party kill. Each area has a monster/drop compendium to track. There are free cosmetic pulls on the level of AC Scratch. You can "pep" friends to gain slight boosters, you can chug boosters and lots of potion types, there is an exclusive bbs forum with avatars you can dress up background and pets.

NGS stepped into a genre it was never good at. It should have stuck with PSO2s strengths not gone backwards. It is a shitty weakened PSO2 clone in an abhorrent setting.

I'm not reading all of that. I just know:

because this game has fucked up stack affix multipliers that unfairly exponential output between 0 damage and 100 damage but every increment is stupid small unless you compare not geared and fully geared across 1 weapon 3 armor. and its only these multipliers that increase your output across content because they start arbitrarily attack stat capping when against specific mobs and bosses.

the ceiling is basically stupid high if you want to start to see actual gameplay that isn't wooden swording everything and its not rewarding anyway either. sega doesn't care because they are afraid of players stacking multipliers in skill tree and subclass so they nerfed them but they are happy to greed the fuck wazoo by selling paid affixes so arks are powerless without good weapons.

the game is barely functional, I will even go as far as to say its even worse than the pso2sea paid affix era and worse than character gacha powercreep. no game has you affix capsules into capsules into capsules into capsules into capsules to get output, even pso2 started capping that with one and done s abilities or a simplification to tohoh souls. ngs even imported fucked up grading of weapons from inferior to epic with fixa fusing.
