NTA but when these AI agents were relatively new I tried one and it spat out code that mixed language-specific syntax. If mean chuds, if the emergent loop being activated by the fixed pity wins of the inner gameplay loops, this basically could be clasifiied as a singular musical loop bar.

So basically we can design the flow of the game using these musical gameplay bars, instead of the traditional winning and losing condition.

So, let's say your game last 32 of these musical bars.

Then your game doesn't have a fixed lenght, like using a timer.
But neither it needs a victory or losing game over condition.
It only needs to reach eventually to the musical bar 32 or 16 for the composition to end.

So this mean, a very skilled speedrunner could theorically end the game much much faster than a casual player.

But this means the game is guaranteed to end because of the guaranteed pity wins.

AI is currently good at producing high volumes of slop within an established formula, but it's not a replacement for skills that you lack. The thing I hate about modern art learning is, and why I think so many suffer is because it's framed in this pathway like you need to master line art before you even know how to draw. It's working backwards and it's obviously frustrating. The average person won't be able to learn like that and will filter them hard. But art is ultimately just a trained skill.
I would argue that learning embedded programming or electronics like microcontrollers or even just being an electrician or plumber is far harder to learn than art because fucking up in art isn't that bad. But I can't really sit here and say anyone can learn art cause it's just a skill like anything else while not actually having any other skills. So I've decided to learn C/C++.
I think line art is actually terrible. Like learn how to sketch first, and actually sketch not this construction nonsense. Construction work only after you know art, because it's basically like doing math you show your work. Even if you can do calculus in your head can you solve a multi part word problem all in your head and just write down the perfect answers? Art is like that except you're doing it form basically numerical guessing through intuition hundreds of times to get millimeter accuracy. If you actually want to do art from construction you need to have very good geometry and use precise tools like a compass and ruler. That's not really easy or fun. So once again something that's supposed to make art easier is actually making it harder.
You might be wondering then why are these shilled as THE way to learn? Because the people telling you this are just artist trying to grift you not art teachers. Cause the reality is much more boring. It's why you always hear this: just draw.
Last thread I gave a step by step guide on how to actually just draw. With that plan you can be drawing good stuff in weeks!
Now if any skilled c/c++ programmers have advice for me, I'd like to hear it.

I think I now understand how to design a game to be basically unsolvable by computers.

Basically imagine the game is two players competing to sell more T-shirts.
One player goal is to sell more red T-shirts and the other is blue T-shirts.

But the game has 3 systems that interact using probabilistic gameplay loops like gathering the raw materials, then crafting the materials, then paying taxes and then like selling the T-shirts to npcs.

But at the same time, both players have to like exchange items in these loops to get materials and items you need but also exchange them for items and materials you have.

Eventually all items and materials are important for a clear strategy in the rules, but that strategy has a clear counter strategy, like RPS layers of counter strategies arranged in a graph of triangular relationships.

If your maps are just pre-determined and static, or generated once and not changed you won’t need a mesher. vid related is my process. The only thing related to pixelating the render are the two scale nodes, one scales up and one scales back down using nearest neighbor... Also under render settings > film set the filter size to 0.01 to turn off anti-aliasing

What's going on in the video is I do the rendering in two steps, first the rgb split base sprite so I can have a shader change the R G and B colors in game to other colors. The other step is rendering the snow and other parts I don't want to be colored by the shader as a separate sprite that I lay on top of the other one. That's done by swapping the RGB base model for the car for a fully black one and feeding the red channel of the render back into the alpha so the car body blocks stuff behind it but is also transparent.

In this case, it’s not a debug feature; the event log tree is part of the game, with its nodes being the basis for the visual representation of battle (the battles are turn-based and all logic is executed instantaneously…)
Each node happens to have a text representation as well, which is what is printed in the screenshot.
The scriptable event log tree is actually the main feature I had trouble designing in the past.

Cheers anon, you get it, I am doing this to learn.
And I figured it out, apparently I had a mismatch between the in-game map which uses integers and the renderer which does everything by floating point. It only took me 2 days to figure out my code was fucked up like that.
Just need to fix the stretching a bit and then I can finally move on.
