Look at how Westiggers think Quantity is more important than Quality. The Blade of Courage manga actually tries to write a sincere story about Sonic that feels like it fits right in the Sonic canon easily while IDW is absolute dogshit that has no interest in being about SONIC. Just compare the latest two issues of both. IDW treats the mere idea of someone looking up to Sonic as a silly joke for losers and weirdos with mental illness to use as their "Comfort character". What did Blade of Courage do? A lonely giant who spent years protecting a flower garden realizes the value of his life through Sonic's inspiration. Then he dies with a smile on his face. There's depth there. There's actual thought. It's actually WRITTEN to tell a STORY with MEANING and not just impress a bunch of tumblroids like IDW. There's an actual plot, a theme. The reader actually FEELS emotions instead of READING about emotions on the page like with IDW. Seriously, how can you disagree? IDW's time should be over by now. Actually the "Sonic and Sally can't date" mandate came around the time of Sonic Generations, two years before the Archie reboot. Nobody noticed because Sally was a robot but Archie was already not allowed to have Sonic pair up with a girlfriend anymore. The reboot didn't affect Sega's stance on the matter. They would have still enforced the rule even if there was no reboot and we would probably have a very similar comic to what we have now anyways. The reboot provided a convenient excuse not to address it. In fact, during the mecha Sally arc, Archie wasn't even allowed to acknowledge that Sonic had ever been in a relationship. Ever. Flashbacks featuring Sonic and Sally acting romantic were cut from production. Sega put a hard "NO" on anything involving it. So even if Preboot Sally was reverted back to normal she would have been reduced to just one of Sonic's friends and they would never touch on the subject or explain why it changed.

Honestly the funniest thing is that they're added in, but won't interact with the cast in any way because Sega wants to cuck voice acting from DLC characters. So despite my kneeling to IDWcucks, I get the last laugh anyways unbeknownst to them.
