Plasma Guns aren't radioactive (in 40k), so Hadron wouldn't be giving him pills for a PG. The dialogue only makes any sense if it's a Rad weapon, which is why when they were pressed on that the CM didn't respond to those questions. The guy who said that they probably intended to give Vet rad weapons and then GW stepped in to kill that makes a lot of sense in retrospect as that's a very GW thing to do. Alternatively, they were just lying to drive up false hype or they accidentally soft launched an AdMech class too early (which doesn't mean Vets get Rad weapons, just that Rad weapons now exist for people in the Mourningstar to use even if we can't).

The idea that Fatshark constantly needs to yank planned content based on the whims of some unnamed GW liason is honestly a colossal cope that I very much doubt holds any basis in reality. Other Warhammer games by literal who dev teams play pretty fast and loose with established lore and get away with much goofier shit, but I'm supposed to believe that Fatshark--a company in good standing with GW that now has three successful Warhammer games under their belt--can't deviate a single iota from some super sekrit GW rulebook? I'm not even saying that GW isn't frequently anal about their shit because they obviously are, but that doesn't hold up as an excuse in this case and quite frankly, it never did.
