In high level chess it's important to do your squats so you can use your ass like that and it's important to train your neck so your opponent can't use his ass like that.

The first day of the fourth game of the 38th Ryuo title match is being played, between Yuki Sasaki (sente) and Sota Fujii (the Ryuo title holder). The time control is 8 hours per player over two days, and the match is a best of 7 (Fujii leads 3-0).
The opening this game was bishop exchange, with gote playing right-side king instead of the mainline.

Men who lift but shy away from serious squats and deadlifts come across as soft, vain metrosexuals instead of giving off based athlete vibes. OHP and chinups are part of Rippetoe's Starting Strength program, btw, so association with his advocacy is no reason to be a coward and skimp on leg day.

>>
>>546238493
>bodyweight
Why would you assume that? It doesn't specify in the image but many programs that include chinups or pullups have you scale the resistance to your level of ability from assisted to weighted just like you would scale the resistance with any weighted exercise. From the book:
>Weighted chins and pull-ups are an excellent source of heavy non-pressing work for the upper body. Plates are suspended from a chain on a belt, or a dumbbell can be held in the feet if not much weight is used. A good rule of thumb is that when you can do 12–15 bodyweight reps, it is probably time to start doing some of the work weighted, possibly alternating higher-rep bodyweight workouts with lower-rep weighted workouts. Several sets across are appropriate for chins and pull-ups, either weighted, unweighted, or assisted. And many people have made steady linear progress by microloading their chins the same way they program the bench press and press, adding 1.5–2 pounds to three sets of five reps every workout. Try them all and see what works best for you.
>what openings do sharting strength tards play?
They'll catch you with Fool's Mate every time.

That study only referenced 8x8 American checkers. And it is only “solved” in the sense that if two super computers play a thousand games against each other, most games will end in a draw. There is still a ton of opportunity for human play, even in the American checkers variation with more limited piece play.

The 10x10 international variation and the 8x8 Russian and Brazilian variations are not “solved” and are incredibly tactical and dynamic because you can capture forwards and backwards, and in these variants there are flying kings which move across the board like a bishop would and can capture lots of pieces.

When you hear about Ivanchuk playing “checkers”, these are the variants we are talking about. Although still not as strategic as chess, there is still plenty of room for very dynamic and tactical play.

A human brain is not the same as a super computer that can calculate a million moves a second. Overall, that study only pertains to American Checkers/English Draughts, which has considerably more restricted piece movement compared to International Draughts and 8x8 Draughts.

For anyone interested, you can play against the computer on lidraughts. I am not trying to be a consistent shill like our resident Shogi enthusiast, but I want to share knowledge when I hear people slandering Draughts because they ignorantly think it’s a children’s game

They're know for credential fraud, sycophantic ass-kissing, and aggressive nepotism. Indian coworkers and contractors are often like LLMs that will tell you what they think you want to hear rather than tell you the truth, which is what makes them so naturally good at scamming boomers like Trump.
>>
>>546245020
I grew up on the Dragon. It worked because none of my beginner opponents knew how to pawn storm correctly. (Embarrassed to say that I got caught by the Levenfish trap the first time though.)
>>
>>546270147
Deadlift is just leg press for people who have healthy core, grip, and back strength. If it feels dangerous to you and you're not pushing it to Eddie Hall tier extremes or abusing PEDs you're either doing it wrong or you need to do some remedial work to correct physical imbalances or deformities. Picking a heavy object up off the ground is the most basic and natural movement in the weight room.
