Since Archie was such a copyright trashfire, SEGA formed new pack with IDW where the western artist have to pitch their characters to SEGA before printing the comics. To which SEGA will immediately gain ownership to the characters and then allow IDW to use now their characters for the comics. This has the additional benefit in creating fodder characters to SEGA's Sonic IP, which they use in promotional materials.

I've said it before but the open-zone gameplay loop isn't actually "open" at all. Like it's only open in so much as the map isn't a corridor but the actual progression is fixed. There's no real decision about what to do or whare to go you just kinda walk around the map and do shit. It's not even a "sandbox" because there's no player-driven structure and there's no interplay between systems or mechanics. Totally barren. The plot is awful, you just walk around and talk. I didn't bother trying to really understand the themes but it didn't seem like there was any. The lore was dumb; more aliens and ancient civilizations, Chaos Emeralds from space and chao and chaos are aliens. The open zone gameplay is fine, it's just boost platforming sprinkled across barren landscapes. The challenges are repetitive and aren't very exciting. The combat is braindead and tiresome, once you figure out how to beat the combat becomes tedium. The titans are annoying I literally have no idea what the fuck is going on half the time (always been a problem with Super Sonic fights in this franchise). There's no real difficulty because of the ring systema and how easy it is to get rings. Graphics are pretty good. Art style is abysmal. Cyberspace is the only good part, I like the ranking.I'm not totally bitter. I like Trip. She's fun. Her design is kinda mid. She kinda stole Fang's thing of getting stuck in their traps. I also liked Shadow Generations, it was really fucking good.

In Crossworlds, they should add a new item. The shield from the Sonic games. You know, the blue energy bubble that goes around you and can take a single hit. The metal armor shield in the game is temporary and disappears after set time, one that stays until one hit would be a nice alternative defense item so we can have more than just one defensive item. BUT for Ai Ai make it a Monkey Ball and for Spongebob make it an actual bubble. Fans would go crazy over the small attention to detail, trust me.
