Why did Deltarune Alphys become a teacher? Her Undertale counterpart became a royal scientist all thanks to the Mettaton stuff, but she doesn't seem to be happy with the position. She's constantly ashamed of having her job be built on a lie, and the most science we see her do is inject random shit into corpses and managing a reactor that's able to run itself. She's smart, and she can do some pretty cool stuff if she has enough resources, but she doesn't seem like the type of person that strives to hold a position of leadership or teaching to others. The most she ever does is try to guide Frisk through Hotland to make herself feel like she's doing something, which is the only thing I can see that would lead her to become a teacher of all things. Why is that this is the only trait she carries over to Deltarune, when she has far better options in life now? Why is her job something she's not only good at, but that also makes her feel worse about herself? Is she stupid?
