There are a total of seven hostile marines across all Arbiter missions in Halo 2.

By just changing the camera angle, and being able to move around freely around to observe other stuff happening besides just your own perspective, you get a brand new experience and new insight even when replaying the same sequence of events. You can park the camera above the battlefield or even at a single spot on the battlefield and it completely changes the atmosphere. From above it's like you're observing the battle from a safe distance and can look at it strategically, but close to the ground it's like you're actually part of the commotion with explosions going on all around you as you follow the characters around on foot. It's the same game either way, but you're just noticing certain details that you wouldn't normally notice in another angle. Controlling the camera with its weird, laggy controls is also a mini-game in itself. Being able to get a good sequence of shots on a moving object you're trying to capture can be pretty satisfying, not to mention reacting to all the stuff as it happens. It's not possible to rewind without restarting the film from the beginning so most of the time you only get one take. It's more fun than Pokemon Snap thanks to the massive sandbox and full freedom of movement.

They should be thinking in terms of general tiers, and not taking every weapon/vehicle into account when balancing.The Incinerator and Rocket Launcher are both power weapons but for whatever reason the incinerator's damage is ass. Buff the Incinerator so that it kills in one direct hit. And why is the Ravager still so weak? Either get rid of that lousy burst fire and buff the secondary fire massively and make that the primary effect, or make the burst shots leave behind traces of fire that damage you if step into it. Don't half-ass it. It's like you want it to have utility but also be able to have killing power but you're not investing into it all the way so it ends up being watered down. Make it strong. It has a fun and unique mechanic, why does it need to be nerfed. There are other weapons with this same issue. 343 is too worried about balancing the entire sandbox perfectly relative to every weapon, but you don't need to have every weapon in every match. That's Fiesta's job, and Fiesta doesn't need to be balanced so it's not an issue.Quick fixes:>Buff the tracking on plasma pistol charge shot>Buff the Heatwave to be a power weapon, its 'utility' is too shitty, it should be a shotgun. If you want people to use the bank shot, then buff the banked shots so every bounce increases the damage. So this is a neat trick to get them to drive some of the weirder vehicles)

the more of unreal tournament I play the more halo I see in it. there is a map in the first unreal tournaments' assault gamemode which is very much like highground and some of these 'narrative' designed maps reminds me of the feel and flow of some big team stuff, especially in reach. surprisingly I think its a bit more fun than quake on occasion but quake maps map control and resources a bit more fun imo.

It's kind of interesting to compare the Bio Rifle and Needler. Bio Rifle secondary fire is useful for near-guaranteeing a kill on an unsuspecting enemy, same role the Needler has. But the Bio Rifle also has a primary fire, shooting sticky globs effectively creating a minefield which is useful for defending or running away. UT doesn't have a two-weapon limit so you can see weapons with niche uses come up more.I guess my point is that Bio Rifle has two useful fire modes for utility and no two-weapon limit working for it. Needler is just the less useful of those two modes and has to exist within a two-weapon limit system. Maybe the Needler needs to be rethought a little.
