I think I prefer Exploration over Defense for opening Letters. I haven't seen an enemy get stuck behind a wall in Exploration so far and if you find a good spawn spot, it goes faster than Defense.

Guess I'll stick to defense then. This underwater layout is very nice for AFK. Flat surface, enemies spawn every close to the target and clear lines of sight for the AI to react fast. The other layouts have too many walls, stairs and spawn farther away. They take so long to reach you, the AI stops reacting. The other option I see is range maxing with characters like Hellfire and Rhythm but I don't have them yet.

Has anyone here played SAO Fractured Daydream?I think it would be amazing to have a game mode that played similarly to it.Let me explain if you don't know.Basically, you had 20 players in a lobby (this can be reduced here of course) separated into 5 teams of 4.The stages start off with all 5 teams separated into their own areas that they have to go through and defeat a miniboss after which the teams enter a much bigger, shared map where they have to clear objectives and once the objectives are cleared all the teams can enter the last phase where you fight the boss.It's a co-op experience with some racing elements because whichever team dealt the most damage got MVP and obviously the faster you clear phase 1 with your team the more damage you will be able to deal in the shared area.. Getting MVP didn't give any extra rewards, it was just for fun.I think a game mode like this (once co-op is improved) could be incredibly fun.

So as far as I can tell exp manuals are worth 500/2,000/8,000 experience in ascending rarity. This means the Hedge commissions are worth:8,00013,00018,00024,00028,00034,00040,000Total experience. The problem is that enemies have so much more health in Hedge VII, especially the elite, that the clear time ramps up too much to be worth it unless you've got enough power and can nuke everything near instantly. Using an i0 Rebecca as the played character and an i2 Fina/Nifle as AI I can pretty consistently finish Hedge VI in ~45 seconds and Hedge VII in ~70 seconds. That's a ~17.6% increase in rewards but a ~55.5% increase in time completion. I'd have to be clearing Hedge VII in only 53 seconds just to break even on efficiency.Somewhat related is afking in Exploration up to and completing wave 15 takes about 8 minutes when relying purely on the AI and that yields an average of ~22,500 exp for the character being played with no experience trait on the active Geniemon. This means it takes a little over 12 minutes of Exploration farming to get the same amount of exp that you can get from a single 45 second Hedge VI clear; that's about 16x longer. Your numbers may vary of course.
