So I'm playing le hardcore, and I'm at a crossroads here. Bleak Falls Barrow is pretty tough and I think I need to get stronger before I go back inside. I'm still debating on going for heavy armor or light armor for my barbarian. thematically light armor is the better choice, but i'm worried that light armor is going to be too weak in this playthrough for my 2h melee, no magic approach. So I have a few options here. Go for heavy armor, which involves spending everything i own to get myself some iron armor. I can technically save some, but the only smelter is found in Whitern and i didnt' want to leave Riverwood until I completed Bleak Falls Barrow. I could install a mod that puts smelters at every hold, which has always been a baffling decision not to. But it feels kinda cheaty? Or spend a small sum on getting studded armor, which is only 10 extra points of defence, but it keeps me in Riverwood, keeps what little wealth I have, and of course it would fit my barbarian archtype.What do, bros? Install the mod for a smelter to make iron armor, head to Whiterun anyway, or stick to light armor?

How do I track down what's causing low fps? Tried disabling CS, some texture mods, but that didn't do much. First time it happened was in Alftand, specifically in the glacial area.
